The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks, I’m not sure it’s a great post though! Just my musings. I’ve not got the hang of saying exactly the opposite of what I want the sp to do just to make some profit.
The downside of course being until there is a vaccine having your IgG level checked is pretty much for fun! And a vaccine seems a lonnnng way off. But governments do like headlines like x more tests done this month, even if the results are pointless, so let’s hope we all profit from their desire not to look as powerless as they really are in the face of this
Spain’s population is roughly 50m, around 300,000 positive cases....
I doubt antibody (IgG) testing will be very useful in the immediate future, apart from helping us understand how many people develop them after a positive test. Still, pretty much everyone at the hospital I work at opted to have theirs tested just out of curiosity! Interestingly, only those who had had a positive test seemed to come out as having antibodies, though a very few people tested positive and hadn’t had symptoms whereas a very few had been unwell and tested positive but hadn’t developed antibodies. But, getting your antibodies checked doesn’t really mean a great deal at present, especially as it’s unclear whether or for how long you would be immune. However, when a vaccine comes into play, every single vaccinated person will need to go on to have the IgG level checked, like us doctors need to have done for Hepatitis before performing invasive procedures.
So every vaccination will need at least one if not more IgG test to ensure efficacy. That’s lots of tests no matter how you slice it!
I would suggest that’s *******s. Seems like they’re strongly suspecting this is one field and doing the analysis to prove it. People will buy into that kind of uplift in reserves. Anyway regardless, the market will do whatever it wants, good or bad.
I’m surprised the market has reacted so positively to this. Correct me if I’m wrong but when we went through the math of what we needed to produce to run the plant and also service the debt it was in the region of 100t per month?
5t is some way short of that. I appreciate we’re ‘ramping up’ but we’re going to have to ramp a hell of a lot harder not to require another big dilution. We need grant money now, and if he could get another nice cheap loan against the rest of the 5.3m that would help keep the wolves away
I’m pleased for the update. Was getting concerned the no news meant bad news rather than it’s just taking a looonnngg time.
Now gold please, with a partner who’s willing to pony up a few million right now to get us out of our financial pickle!
October for the gold update were his words, for the love of any deity, please let’s be having it rather. And some news than the shiny new concentrator is starting to produce something. Asia markets up APT on the rise, some good news might just save us!
Odds on we’ll get the finger though
First ore to the new concentrator will be RNS’d
Given the old concentrator managed a whopping average output of 5t per month for the last 6 months, to think that’ll suddenly jump to 20t seems far fetched to me. We’ll be lucky to get up to 10t per month before Xmas in my opinion (which, given the lack of any real information from the company, is based purely on our lacklustre performance to date)
How anyone can stand back, look at this rationally and say ‘nothing to worry about here’ is completely mind boggling to me.
But WTFDIK
The fact there is a definite placing round the corner means these tickets are about as popular as ****biscuits.
50t a month Oct-Dec is a huge ask given the stop start nature of the commissioning it seems. Then 100t Jan to March? We’ll be lucky if we achieve half that, is my guess. Hopefully totally wrong of course
My pleasure
You are a twat Kev. There have been some excellent, reasoned and thought provoking reflections this evening, and you just have to have a pop for no reason. GFY
Ha! True
Why are we commissioning and engineering at Regua while La Parilla’s output is negligible and we’re burning cash so quick that we need to print more shares? I don’t get it
Not hugely surprising since we’re a quarter behind, it’s taking forever to commission the concentrator, we’ve produced next to nothing to sell in the last 6 months (must be more ‘investor confusion’ there as I am pretty certain MM stated we up to 20t per month), need more drilling to work out WTF is going on with the gold, and we need ‘additional funds’ before the grant comes in just to stay afloat.
Looks like I was optimistic to hope for 0.6 by Xmas. 0.4 will have to do I guess
But still generally vexed
Sad about Sxx! So much for the ‘northern powerhouse’. A lesson for us all though, all the millions of posts about the upcoming £1 party, and continuous ‘this mine WILL be built/profitable/massive etc.’
People just refused to believe there was any chance at all that the project wasn’t going to come to fruition. All the suggestions that it was risky were just derided as trolling rubbish.
I’m sorry you paid 0.4. My personal view is that there will be other opportunities... to buy much lower
I still feel like I’ve had it up the rear without a reach around
How can we be suddenly going to need the 1.8m in the bank plus another 3m just to stay afloat? As jaf says, it’s either incompetent management or duplicity, no other way. Silly me for thinking that we were ‘past the post’ what with a complete world class mine and being on the cusp of the cusp. Turns out we were on the cusp of bankruptcy. I got it wrong, DB and jaf have been proven right, and that’s despite trying to keep my expectations way below the rampy carp of Kev et al (remind us, what were your predicted outputs for August and Sept?)
Sold 1m in anger this morning, sadly missed the spike. Let’s hope we do actually get a spike on the gold so I can offload the other 8m
It’s great here...if you like it up the bum. Repeatedly. Over several patient years
Nearly there, just another 12 months to go
Blue finish?
Painful. Should’ve waited for my top up as usual!
Still trying to pedal the middle ground between the Kev’s and Jaffs of this world...
Personally, I find it difficult to believe that this immense plant, built by experts with the worlds best kit, in a great geographic location is not going to be able to make a decent return. I’m not talking about huge profit margins, but enough to pay back the loan and get us into the black. The likelihood of that happening to me seems very high, and consequently the companies value seems very likely to increase. The Sp may not go up much (I’ll take 1p Xmas... 2020!) if we get shafted with more placing/warrants, but in the hope that he doesn’t want to dilute himself further I’ve added another 5g at these bargain prices!
Put me down for 9m
Let’s hope for a detailed and informative RNS and maybe, just maybe, the truth will out
Not holding my breath, based on the previous guff that have published
