It would be nonsensical to sell ARB today. With our gap up to meet the close of US markets on Friday, we will surely break £2 this week. Early March will see an update on increasing profit margins due to BTC rise from 35k in January to potentially 50k+ by the end of Feb

talking of miners, is anyone invested in ARB? its sp has gone bonkers

Agree. The crypto crowd is the polar opposite of traditional finance. I worked in digital assets in 2017 and went on a few forums to China and Singapore. The average age of people at the conferences was 25-35, young girls from Kazakhstan and Dubai working in DeFi in technical and non-technical jobs there. DIgital natives like millenials and gen z are so accustomed to using digital currencies that convincing them btc is the future is merely preaching to the choir. BTC will surely retrace some time in the future but DeFi is here to stay. No doubt whatsoever

just a quick question on capital gains tax.... do we only pay CGT on share profits over £12,300 in each tax year?
so we get the first £12,300 tax free on our income, AND another £12,300 tax free on anything else we sell like houses and shares? Is that correct?
sorry for what may seem a basic question. Never had to pay it before. I checked the government website and used dummy data on £5k profit as an example and CGT was zero. Was hoping for your imparted knowledge! thanks

I had the same experience dobbo haha. Ended up topping up more shares at 1.41 . Thank the Lord! ARB is the only company I have been in where i've been HAPPY to get in at its all time high. What a share. I learnt from last weekend. You just do not want to be out of this

lol I just topped up more at 141.... I just couldn't help it. I don't want to be out on the weekend, we all saw what happened last Sunday! I have no doubt the sp will rise higher in the coming months. Bullish on Bitcoin and zCash, and new miners coming online only lead to rising MCAP

we always talk of Nasdaq, but what about FTSE 250. Surely there is a soon to be hit limit when ARB will move up to that. Its inclusion will mean more exposure to trackers among UK investors

I think its just the banner of Eton and Oxbridge has taken a battering given the utter mess we are now in recession and pandemic wise, largely due to the actions of its former students! A diversity of education is clearly better. If everyone came out of the same echo chamber, bitcoin would not exist because it doesn't conform with traditional conservatism
