My opinion now is that Africa is the most important news and would prefer aus to be delayed rather than dilution.
I understand past concerns of timescales creeping into this but it's a very different case of drilling Vs creating a mine in Africa, have the Aus team been shown to be anything other than efficient with their drilling? The reporting perhaps not to everyone's liking but the actual work has been done as expected and we've no reason to doubt their direction despite people's feelings towards the companies mouthpiece.
AGM doesn't sound as if it will be as fun this year!!
The July/August timeline for significant update for Aus still seems most likely to me, I'm not just wanting the Africa update before then to give the confidence with the future of Aus.
We get it someone doesn't like your share on your board but come on there are better ways to spend your days, go outside, breathe the fresh air, one day you'll die and just before you slip away you'll think "perhaps my time could have been better spent with loved ones rather than trolling a Stocks message board"
I personally don't think that a deal is being done at the moment, but work is continuing to get everything ready to start that process. I don't really care about the lack of news on this, a lot of it wouldn't really be RNS worthy, I have my x number of shares and the share price today doesn't change the number of shares I have just as it didn't affect them when it was at 7p.
I would like Africa news though.
"The real problem here, as I remember I pointed out about a year ago, is that to get this JORC'd up within a reasonable timescale it would need 4 or more drills working non-stop. GGP took about 18 months from when Newcrest took control to get to their maiden JORC but they had as many as 12 rigs working 24/7 for a large part of that time."
The real problem here is that you NEVER listen to what people tell you so repeat the refuted opinions tirelessly.
This has been slow on news now, 4 RNS in March (3 in Feb, Jan, Dec), 1 early April about 1 month ago. I would prefer some news as we are now in the timeframe we were promised for negotiations to start, he didn't have to promise this, people weren't really asking that, it was unexpected and didn't really tie in with the other information.
I think I'm at the stage now I just don't care and I'll check in once a month to see where we are at. I'm not buying or selling so better for me mentally just to forget and hopefully get a happy surprise!
GLA
I was about to cancel but it did it in the end, it waited until the SP got back down to where it was when I triggered it, wonder if the SP will be held back whilst all these get worked through. Cost me around 600 shares.
How have others found this? I'm with A J Bell and it's not been great, I put it through online and it wouldn't let me do the number of shares just the amount and it hasn't even started yet (I chased it up over the phone) they say it could take 10 days which seems crazy, also couldn't tell me if it would be the amount I entered (all the shares value at the time) or the amount all the shares would be worth when it actually got started with the sell/buy back.
With how things are with news due I could see it ending up that I have a chunk still in my dealing account that I wouldn't have had if it had gone through today.
Anyway, little rant over, just thought it should be an easy process as it has been in the past. I've never done it this close to the new tax year though.
Showing up now I see, but how could you not round it off to 1M! Unless this is a top up to round off existing holding?
I hope you get rich from this (altruistically of course, my own personal gains hardly crossed my mind)
Good luck
I don't quite understand where we are with timeframes and as Colin reads these boards perhaps a bit of help with the confusion? Colin has restated the claimed aim of March/April/May as starting to get the deal moving but if we have a geo survey that won't be completed until the start of April, drilling and assays to follow that and then a statement that we need to find the boundaries of the discovery and that models will be build around that then it follows we can't possibly have the model finished until July/August?
The two situations appear to be contradictory, I guess we could go to AA in April with an unfinished model that shows 2mt with the aim that they turn it down and they carry on fleshing it out ready for a sale after the summer to someone else. Am I missing something? Colin went out of his way to reinforce the aim of March/April in the podcase without being asked about it by Zak but the RNS data coupled with his other comments in the same interview seem to contradict this aim. There is one thing being optimistic with timeframes, it's another to mislead.
That 1.5m looks like a sell for yesterday, house renovations throwing up more bills, kitchens are expensive?!
