What do you think the play was? Hustle potential investors with the move to HKEX on a price that would never happen?
Or is there still legs in this and they're scooping up at the low price to then roll up the original planned share price?
I'm super burnt on these shares. Got greedy looking for the quick flip. Alas an already long slog is now even longer with even more capital at risk.
I just regret topping up on AIM. Could have bought on HKEx for lower then I bought on AIM. My 5 year wait is probably gonna be another 5 more. Jeez. Tempting to cash out the second I zero out my losses.
FFS. I might as well waited to HK IPO to start buying.
The only positive is having my hands tied for 6weeks. It will stop me getting trigger happy and pulling my money out now (at a loss).
Lan Kwai Fong? That's where the drinks are at!
This has been a scary and eye-opening experience.
I cannot believe this sort of behaviour can be legal.
Hopefully I will still turn a profit (I got caught in the MM tricks a few weeks ago in the 12p morning madness).
It's certainly been an education.
The advice on here has been great. So once more I say thanks. Good luck all.
I've given up checking since I'm reminded how I got played like a chump. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
Seeing a fat minus position by my own making is not nice. But that said thanks to this chat I have learnt a lot about the stuff that goes on beyond the numbers.
It's a long game for me. I wonder where this could be in a year's time. Predictions anyone?
EIGHT MILLION ?? Here I am worrying about my paltry amount. You've got nerves of steel. Although I guess it's relative. I'm going to cry if this goes wrong.
Hope all works out for all of us.
Given China's arm-bar approach to Hong Kong I do worry what that could mean for HKEX.
Surely this has.got to be illegal. The average Joe, like me, relies on that sort of information to make a decision in parallel with the delayed price.
If those get engineered/fudged to tell a different story then where can the average person get their information? Just feels very dodgy.
I don't really understand all the behind the scenes sneakiness that goes on, but why is there a sea of red?
The price has been up and down like a yo-yo today. Are these to trigger limit orders?
Wish they'd played games somewhere else!
Thanks for the reply. Whilst I have your attention I would like to say thanks for all your advice and information updates. Also for having a measured positive position (as opposed to hyping one way or the other).
Over the years I've been on some of the other boards on here for my other shares and it's often a bunch of off-topic conversations or hyperbolic statements for/against the share price of that company.
So, I am grateful for your measured and mature contributions. I doth my cap in thanks.
I'm still reeling from being hustled by the MM (went in at 12p!).
Not sure why they did that yesterday (more so why I took the bait) and not today. Holding on to the 13.4p prospect to give me a small return having now really dented my average share price.
Fingers crossed.
I've sort of forced my hand to progress into the HK exchange.
Lesson learnt for me, as the Transporter says, "Stick to the plan". Also pay attention when buying shares via a mobile app. Far too easy to hit 'buy'.
Basically gone from a v. good positive state to a negative one in one button press.
Trying to work out a game plan here after a few ropey trades.
Whilst there is some comfort knowing this should rise, I'm thinking what my play will be. Long term to make the best out of sub-optimal situation (through my own incompetence) or pull short term.
If we hit 20p in the next month or two then I might just cash out.
I hope so. I went against my instinct and jumped the gun. Ruined my profit margin now.
Note to self - you can't with this 15min delay info!
Might have forced myself into a long game approach now.
After about half an hour my trading portfolio adjusted properly. So I'm okay now!
I was feeling a bit sick being in the red so quick.
Need an alternate platform especially once this goes to HK exchange.
My II account gave me 5.40p right near the end of trading but wasn't guaranteed. So now I'm confused what it closed at since I'm in the red already!
This 15 min delayed trading sucks.
Thanks guys. II has become no good for me since the pricing structure changed. So good to know I can get my ass out of there as soon as possible.
Sorry to OP to go off topic.
Dreaming of a drop to ~5.5p. I probably should have stair-cased instead of waiting to pull the trigger on a big trade.
Actually - another reason I'm getting off II - they didn't trigger my limit buy and then said it's not a guarantee... so whats the point!
Argh. Should have jumped in on Friday. Hoping they will drop to trigger auto-sells.
Anyone use Interactive Investor? - not very clear if they will allow me to keep my shares or not.
Ugh. Does this mean my plan of going in at 5.5p over?
Had a limit buy that failed. Too bad they don't tell you it's not a guarantee of executing the buy.
