Troublesome - that was rather glum for a Friday afternoon.

That said, I'm guessing the BMW i5 version will be rather pricey so I might need to go with another manufacturer instead :)

Digitalis - thank you for letting me know what glah was supposed to mean.

If there were enough fuelling stations around and close to me, I would definitely get the BMW i5 version given I really don't want to get an electric car as I simply don't trust electric batteries or want the hassle of continually having to charge my car overnight. So the news that hydrogen refuelling stations are starting to be thought about again is music to my ears.

Digitalis - tbh, the thought of hydrogen cars is what got me real sweet on ITM power in the first place given the upside would be enormous (and it would be a continual need as well), if that ever were to come to pass. I'm not convinced that will happen though unfortunately (it's more just a hope/wish at this time), but there's still more than enough on offer with everything else to keep me engaged and interested here.

Ijr1 - I'm rather ashamed to say but I had to look up what glah stood for and I must admit I'm still no wiser as there appears to be a number of different ones out there. So what does your glah stand for? Thanks :)

I've read what people are saying about what we need to break even in terms of how many Neptune's we need to sell.

However, I have a question that I doubt that anybody can answer mainly because it's a total unknown.

But, at what point are we not able to sell any more given everybody who needs one already has one?

I mean, it's not like everybody has £4m sitting in their back pocket.

Or is the point, if we ever reach that point that we'd already being laughing anyway given we would have sold plenty?

But there really is no care for younger and future generations.

Trump and other politicians simply don't care for the future as they won't be around to see it. They just care about themselves and getting voted into and kept in power. It's a very selfish attitude.

If I changed my previous message to just say government, my same point remains. As soon as any governments are involved things just take a long time to push through

The UK government is involved, what do you expect?

For that matter, it's of little consequence whether that government is blue or red.

The predicted revenue for next year is said to be around 20m.

Does that mean that even if a 500MW FID were to happen that it likely wouldn't affect the revenue for next year but for some future time instead?

These neptune units are around 4-4.5m I believe?

So how much are we talking for a 500mw fid, if one were to happen?

Or is that impossible to know?

People are inherently lazy and just live for the moment.

I can't see the majority of people being happy with basically being forced to go electric at some point in future.

Given the amount of forward planning/thinking having an electric car entails.

Most people can't be bothered with all of that.

It will need to succeed somewhere else first to give this country a kick to do the same.

For the moment, that unfortunately doesn't seem to be happening which I find disappointing as I really don't want to get an electric vehicle.

It would need somebody with pots of cash (given this country doesn't have any spare cash) to effectively build their own infrastructure.

For hydrogen cars to take off, it would need somebody like Elon Musk to want it to succeed. However, I can't see him wanting to jeopardise his Electric empire. But, it would need somebody like that as I can't see an English government spending what's needed to put the infrastructure in place.

They didn't try very hard though perhaps due to the costs.

Given I never once saw hydrogen cars advertised on TV.

I'm sure most people don't even know hydrogen cars are possible.

But, it's pointless pushing this if there are basically zero refuelling centres in this country.
