Almost all of Chinese mainland on board with hydrogen development12 Jun 2022 09:56
Tangshan, the world’s biggest steel-producing city, is the latest Chinese city to introduce policies to develop a local hydrogen industry The clean fuel is expected to play a much larger role after China introduced its first-ever national hydrogen strategy in March.
ABB-led consortium to offer shore-to-ship power at Port of Toulon9 Jun 2022 16:45
With solar energy produced from a photovoltaic shelter and an energy storage system comprising lithium batteries, the system deployed with ABB equipment can automatically adjust the energy mix to supply ships through Enedis, the local power network.
The system will also be able to store excess solar energy production as well as use other renewable energy sources, such as fuel cells, in the future.
Vaillant boiler to operate with 100% hydrogen9 Jun 2022 12:10
Vaillant has installed their respective hydrogen boiler for a new project, which sees 100% hydrogen demonstrated for home heating for the first time utilising the existing gas network.
Wizz Air and Airbus partner on hydrogen-powered jet operations9 Jun 2022 11:30
Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing and most sustainable European ultra-low-cost airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus to explore the potential for hydrogen-powered aircraft operations.
Doosan Fuel Cell, the clean energy wing of South Korea's Doosan Group, will lead a joint project to replace existing fuel cells with a structure using blue hydrogen, which is favored by industries due to its reasonable production cost compared to green hydrogen based on renewable energy.
Westinghouse Electric and Bloom Energy Corp have entered into a Letter of Intent to pursue clean hydrogen production in the commercial nuclear power market. The companies are teaming up to identify and implement clean hydrogen projects across the nuclear industry.
Westinghouse and Bloom Energy will aim at jointly developing an optimised and large-scale high temperature integrated electrolysis solution. With the ability to operate 24/7 and provide high-quality steam input, nuclear plants are well-positioned to utilise electrolyser technology and produce substantial quantities of clean hydrogen with minimal disruption to current, ongoing operations.
