morning muscorum, had to move some bags of sand yesterday and found three newts huddled together in the stones beneath, one was only 3cm in length the others much larger looked like adults all had orange undersides so smooth newts I imagine. relocated them to a safe suitable spot. Been taking out huge leylandii trees probably 40 years old, they dont do much for wildlife and never stop growing although think a firecrest did nest one year.
