THE Bourgogne-Franche Comté region has signed a contract with Alstom, through operator French National Railways (SNCF), for the supply of three Coradia Polyvalent electro-hydrogen dual-mode multiple units.
The trains will be able to operate in electric mode under 1500V dc and 25kV ac, as well as with hydrogen power where there is no catenary. The four-car units will be able to operate at 160km/h and carry up to 220 passengers, with a range of 400-600 km in hydrogen mode

Defiance ETFs announced Wednesday that it is launching the Next Gen H2 Fund (HDRO), the first hydrogen ETF in the U.S. Listed on the NYSE, HDRO will give investors exposure to companies involved in the development of hydrogen-based energy sources and fuel technologies. The fund comes with an expense ratio of 0.30%.

Wind power production increased sharply in 2020 due to more wind than usual and more completed wind farms.
In total, Norway produced 9.9 terawatt-hours (TWh) in 2020. That is 4.4 terawatt-hours more than in 2019, according to figures from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.
