I'm not an expert but from looking at the news recently it doesn't feel like there's anything in particular that happened that would meaningfully change anyone's outlook on the company. Thus the share price is going to drift along at the values we've seen recently.
Dont get me wrong I'd like for it to be increasing but I'm not really seeing a reason for it yet. While the Artemic purchase the other day was nice it was expected. I'd like the phase 3 mid point results to bump things in the right direction but I'm not sure what level of detail those results can go into (and of course whether the results will be good!)
Pokerchips where did I say I wanted to ramp the share? The point was around why there aren't posts around non-dramatic outcomes.
Archie asked what I considered to be a fair question and I shared my response. I've no interest in getting involved in the chimp feeces flinging of the "You're all doomed" or "It will be be a £1 by Friday" groups.
Archie2001. I think its certainly possible the Cimetra trial could go well but the share price wouldnt move much. I think theres little talk about that though as the potential exists (I believe) for the price to also go crazy and thats the aspect people get excited about. Who wants to talk about a share not moving much when its much more exciting to talk about crazy gains and even the act of talking about gains can slightly help make them a reality.
Personally I wouldnt want to second guess MGC's advertising approach. I imagine there are conversations going on behind the scenes but until the trial results are clearer and the actual sales og artemic surface then I guess people will play their cards close to their chest.
I think the potential exists for this share to go in any direction and any direction significantly. For me the risk is acceptable but we all have our own views and situations.
Sorry thats probably my fault as I decided to have a meaningful (for me at least) top up this morning this of course means there will be a dip :)
I'm certainly not an expert but I wonder how much of the downward drift is due to the new ISA allowance starting in a week. I can envisage people holding off on buys until it can be done in their ISA.
@JSJ99 a Cytokine Storm is a reaction that can occurring as part of the infection that can present a serious risk to the patient. Thus meds are more around reducing impact on the patient (and load on health services) rather than reducing transmission.
Can't speak for others but I dont think I and others are being downers. I'm personally just getting tired of what feels like a lack of balance. While theres some really good info on the boards theres also a lot of "We're all dooooomed!" or "Just hold until Friday it will be a £1!" and for me the stories never that simple.
In a similar place. As nice as the increase is I'm conscious this is just a morning and for me the logic behind the change isnt clear.
The value isnt huge so feels like an intentional signal rather than anything else. Potentially trying to help indicate the bottom.
I very much doubt this is an organised effort to drive down the price. A lot of the info from the H/C broad is very interesting and I'm certainly factoring it into my decisions and using it to drive better research. I'm new to this board and freely admit I'm less experienced but some of the stuff that gets spouted here is boggling (yes it would be nice if its up to a £1 but really??). The flip side is some of the AUS visitors seem to be more interested in being smug and patronising. If you've got info to share.... great! If people dont want to hear it then being a d*** probably isnt going to help convince people.
Pokerchips don't get me wrong I'm not looking for a quick turn around on these. Was just slightly surprised on the downward drift.
Just because I'm new doesnt mean I'm part of the KNB, wallstreet bets, Gamestop crowd :-p
I'm new to the game but when you tune out the "30p by lunchtime!" comments there seems to be a quiet level of confidence which is why I'm slightly surprised at the downward drift.
