stokey12- That's generally why people buy shares (because they think it will go higher) ;-)
With all that's going on the possibilities for big news is huge, the question is what sector will it be in first?
Cruise and ferry- all gearing up for the countries reopening
Wind energy- definitely vogue and H&W very well positioned location wise
Defence- major drive starting to build British
New build (commercial)- yards filling up in Asia
Repair- masses of deferred dry docking work
Marine Licence-Some sort of decision must be imminent
It is clear things will change pretty quick for INFA as soon as the ball starts rolling. AIMHO
stokey12- anything is possible, but lets keep JW away from the bidding floor for the pockets of sea :-)
Loosegoose- I think they also sang "LETS GET IT STARTED" :-)
Hi Bubble2021, I understand why but recall the open day at Belfast and the open day at Appledore and now months and year later still nothing MATERIAL has been announced, I feel shareholder value/Communication is not that high on the agenda hence the continual sells, though I do note the 50,000 buys popping up now and again.
It is certainly good news, A contract is needed though to actually get Quality workers, as at the minute there is no stability/security to demonstrate for any prospective employee, and I do recall JW stating he was not going to employ without contracts awarded.
There is certainly mountains and mountains of Jam coming, But would like a little taste now :-).
I know JW is not concerned of the day to day SP, But I hope he is looking on a month by month - Quatre by Quatre or even Year by Year basis next time bonuses are being tabled... and see the shareholders need to start seeing a return!
They quoted the surveillance ship ready for 2024 so doubt they can wait anytime at all.
I see on Bloomberg today that we are going to drill for oil and gas in the North sea again, got to store that gas somewhere..
Speedy- I think the only reason it is going to Poots is the impact of the decision, regarding jobs and security of supply if DAERA said NO he may overturn that. AIMHO
stokey12- That would be nice but first things first, either way I fully expect an update from JW, I keep refreshing my screen (for the last 12 months) thinking the INFA RNS tab is broken :-)
Well considering all the news from the government this week and last I am surprised the SP is drifting down, But I suppose with no contracts of any material value and 4 yards to support maybe people are wandering what is going to pay for them??
But we are into the last week of QTR1 and as I thought the dithering from DAERA continues but hopefully they can / will form an opinion to the minister before the end of next week. Getting a bit bored now!
I must admit the people of Norther Ireland Have not been represented by their MP's, Which is a total disgrace.
On the strategy I would assume there is enough ships to keep all yards going and like the point made about collaboration.
The key fact here is AST received a letter/ Email, Do you not see that as strange, I would have expected something on the lines of " after our last meeting we could not agree terms Blah Blah Blah" not a letter, that just tells me they are still negotiating but AST are proceeding with arbitration in the meantime due to passing the deadline. AIMHO
Slovenian administration and sticking to timeframes is a key part of our claim, AST have shown that the deadline passed so they will start arbitration, AST will stick to the timeline and Slovenia needs to also.
