I was happily playing with these and thought I had a pattern, was managing to cash out 20% at a time. No major cash but profit is profit... Then I went against my own thoughts, currently tied into these as I'm now less than when I started with them.
Was fun at the time though.
I've been quietly reading, taking notes since I took the plunge back in March.
Bought in at £1 and then realised I had lost money before I had started.
Following the reading and theory on here, I averaged down to 52p
I decided was worth a go to beat the interest rates from the bank.
Decided I wanted to hold aml long term, not a massive amount but I could afford to do so safely.
I thought if I could double my input in 12 months that would be a complete result as I'd never done this before. Curre tly I think I'm around 74% up on my aml holding.
I mucked up on others I thought I'd play with so I'm locked in those for a while but if I was to set them back at break even, I'm not far off my double amount.
Thankyou for the info, and insight on here. I fully believe stroll is a safe pair of hands and look forward to seeing it grow in 2021
I've been dabbling with the x3 long rr granite shares for the past month. I'm happy with what I've manged to make. Nkt big bucks but gone safe and bagged 40% profit from my initial investment.
I don't fully understand it nor the position with rr. I've kept an eye on this board for a while, and gather something is going on with a rights issue?
Again I don't really know what that is but I'm invested in aml which had an ri and I gather 1 of the reasons the price dipped massively too.
The date 11th December, is this the next results date? I'm pondering when to jump back in at present, as its not followed the pattern I was working to for the past week
Hello, work has been a bit hectic for myself so had little time to keep upto speed.
I've had a read, I've seen the sp back down to a break even, and read about new shares.
I think I understand the end result as more cash in the bank heading for q3. Head down and carry on.
I debated selling when it hit the 80s but didnt think it's dip as much again, guess thats the fun of it.
If the q2 result are as folk would expect a bit grim reading, is it worth selling and buying back in post results as a calculated effort? I'm wishing to stay in aml for as long as I can 4 to 5 years. As I think its a solid bet on the future.
I'm playing with pennies compared you a lot of members on here but I've a target in mind to reach.
From those more comfortable with the share can you day trade this one and keep a long position quite successfully? I can only imagine 10% swings are good for this if you know what you are doing
I'm curious...
Ive tried to learn as I progress with this stuff...
Having a new ceo and cfo appointed would that not encourage confidence and possible rise too?
I gather from reading this board the cfo was an interim position is this now more secured or has that not been briefed out from the agm?
With the f1, being the original force India team, they were always regarded to be 1 of the most efficient bang for buck teams in the grid in terms of development for cost.
I think with the new budget cap it may assist them in this respect. I did read stroll is look g to pump 200m into the facilities of the factory before the caps kick in to ensure they can maximise thier potential.
Hello, another newbie to this board.
I've been reading for about 2 months and a month prior on the stick market in general.
I've not got any of the mad figures you guys have in here but since my bank decided interest rates on savings were non existant I thought I'd have a go myself.
I've watched f1 since as far back as I can recall and have been following the Aston story for years.
I saw the stroll buyout and the stock prove and figured, he wasn't really going to pump that in to loose it along with other investment friends. And realistically a world without aml... Nah. Couldn't see it.
So I went for it and bought in at around 1.10....
As everyone on here knows it dropped like a stone so with reading here I've managed to average down to 57p
Im finding this exciting and educational but I'm confident in my investment to give a solid return in 12-18months
And thanks for the tips from those ive read so far.
