To Quote the CEO:
“I've stopped arguing with them. They'll see.”
“There is some real money in this, it is not just a science experiment.”
Barclays Capital today initiates coverage of Hurricane Energy Plc Ord 0.1p (LON:HUR) with a equal weight investment rating and price target of 75p.

Q2 corporate presentation still said H1 2019.

"STABLE FLOW from both wells"
IJWT - do you not think that the reason for delays/subject will be addressed at the AGM?
This omnipresent Pre FOIL Tension (PFT) appears to me to be worse than it should be due to the ever present climate change bandwagon - which IMO will turn it's focus increasingly towards :
Arctic Circle/Shrinking Biodiversity/Agriculture
If ever there was a case NOT to 'sell in May....." - HUR could be it.
Pleased he turned up Fred, yes patience is a virtue.
I am back in blue today with one of my other shares after nearly 2 years in the red.
Had I sold out at the bottom I'd have forfeited equivalent to a year's salary..
Wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend...
Rather than endure the constant mention of NigWit* I have read a couple of books.
*(I don't see his/her posts as I filtered him/her - the one and only poster who I have on my filtered list).
"Oil Strike North Sea" - Mike Shepherd - 30 years Geologist in North Sea, WoS gets a few mentions, along with Sulom Voe.
A bit of politics thrown in (how the UK p all the £ up the wall). Never knew Elf were such bandits either.
"This is not a drill" - Paul Carter
Think Andy McNabb on a rig. Less useful for investment knowledge, but better than reading about how a smart arse 16 year old girl standing on a soapbox in London means we should sell all our shares in HUR.
GLA
Bored of N*gwit / Ice Age.
Anyone think there could be some Gas burned off this week?
Page 12 is interesting, re : Commissioning
That 'infographic' hasn't been put there for no reason.
"Catcher 66 days"
"Kraken 129 days"
I'll interpret that as "MIN 66 days - MAX 129 days" - I'm pleased they've put that on there, although it does seem strangely reminiscent of Malcy's comments on V0x a few weeks ago when he mentioned this same info first of all.
That 'flaring' photo can also be seen in this 2017 article, 2/3rds of the way down the page.

"Dr. Trice during Spitsbergen operations. A senior manager is always on the rig drilling Hurricane’s wells during critical data-gathering phases."
"what is the £1 party that I keep seeing here from time to time?"
It's an event where SL presses his nose against the window and we all wave back at him.
Thestreet,
Just curious as to why you buy and sell HUR when it would have been easier to have just bought ECO in December and doubled your money?
Pretty sure this is incorrect ?
"SBRs are used to drill deep mine shafts and the first one to be used at Woodsmith is currently being assembled at Herrenknecht’s factory in Schwanau, southwest Germany."
Surely they mean the one being assembled at Woodsmith right now?
if they can get that bit wrong, then how can you give much credence to anything...
Yes, sometime around 2024, maybe sooner.
If the divs also start at £1 sp then I'll gt the drinks in.
IC View
Liberum reckons that completion of the Woodsmith mine is now a “priority focus” of the government’s 'northern powerhouse' policy, particularly in the wake of canned nuclear power investments. That may be a stretch, although the Prime Minister’s recent comment that Woodsmith “is exactly the sort of project” that drives investment and exports for the north does suggest that a Treasury guarantee will be forthcoming. That support should encourage other lenders, and keeps us in, even with the shares down on our original recommendation (23p, 25 Jan 2018). Buy at 20.4p.

Biffa,
This is all I can find, despite remembering Dr Trice saying "reward success, rather than punish failure"
The last part is a bit annoying, it uses words such as "should", "possible", and "opinion"....
From Lancaster CPR:
"Under the EPC, Bluewater is to carry out the upgrade work and to supply a new mooring system and
buoy for the FPSO so that it is suitable to process hydrocarbons from the Greater Lancaster Area for
a period of ten years. The contract price payable by Hurricane for the performance of the upgrade
work is a fixed lump sum price of US$299 million which will be adjusted to reflect exchange rate
movements at the time of final sanction. The lump sum payment includes an element of contingency,
which, together with other financial arrangements, should be enough to cover, in RPS opinion,
possible cost overruns. "
Windy.com is showing some very placid conditions for Thursday 24 Jan. A huge swathe of "Blue" (2m) all the way to the West/South of Faroe Islands.
The best forecast I've seen since the time around Christmas day.
(If Friday 18th is no go)
"Expecting a good SP performance in December."
You were right Velo!
*(albeit a week or 2 premature)

"2018 has been a year of great #progress. Looking forward to more in the new year, including receiving this - our first #tunnel boring machine, currently being constructed by Herrenknecht in Germany. #engineering #construction"
BNB,
" if we have to wait whilst ADuk tells the crew one of his stories from far-off lands"
No chance.
The crew would just chuck him down the moonpool.
