Simon Thompson’s recommended Kromek again today in the IC, articles too big to post, suffice to say it was positive. ‘I feel the risk:reward is very favourable. Trading on a 1.5 times book value, and a modest three times forecast 2018/2019 sales to enterprise value, I rate Kromek shares a buy and maintain my 34p target price. Buy.’

I want to love MTC, strong brand specialising in an area where people are willing to spend good money for quality products, unfortunately a lot of these products can now be bought cheaper elsewhere. Other than a short term potential gain from a takeover offer I’m not sure how they’ll compete with the supermarkets and online. Staying out for now....

Well the results were certainly worse than I was expecting and the market responded accordingly. I still believe OPG will eventually recover given the demand for power in India. However it is looking increasingly likely this will linger until a return to profitability, hopefully in 12 months. I suppose the question is, are there any likely events between now and then that will correct the share price? I find myself in the same dilemma as u Woody, quicker than I expected. Hold, or following you Ctw2014, take the hit and return when sentiment changes. If anyone has a working crystal ball I’d be grateful of the answers?!

Woody I think the majority here will be sitting on a paper loss. Can’t say how much lower the share price may go however I am optimistic as to the future. The last update actually looked pretty good to me with increased revenues, profit and tariffs. If the cost of coal can be reduced or efficiencies made this will of course help. An article in the IC recently talked of developing countries benefiting from the introduction of newer style systems rather than having to adapt old systems (in relation to solar) and also ‘look to benefit from the growing demand for energy as India’s middle class balloons.’ Unless something changes I will be looking to hold to see how things develop over the next 12 months. Half year results due tomorrow so hopefully some positive news. Only my view and be happy to hear others opinions. GLA.

A cracking set of results which also fails to take onboard the huge potential from the US as yet. An opportunity at these levels IMO, hold and wait for the rise.

Guessing the financial figures were expected given the trading updates throughout the year, however it’s the more positive outlook for the current year that’s interesting ‘In the first 8 weeks of the new financial period, group revenues, stated on a like for like basis, increased by 3.2%’ The market seems to like it and some big buys coming in early doors. The start of the recovery perhaps?

Oldbadger I see u were right in a possible retrace today, and am hoping the second part of the pattern bears fruit and we look forward to the growth over the next few months! A decent set of results and I guess expected by the market hence the lack of reaction. All looks good going forward, slow and steady.

Great news from the US! We may finally be on the cusp of a significant move north in the New Year! My only regret is I didn’t top up around 7p! Good luck to long and short term holders alike.

dh42 I’ve been known to sit on the fence far too often hence the unfortunate name! However on this occasion I do believe there is some value to be made here. Agreed the investments arn’t at present setting the world on fire, however as Aphrodite said they arn’t dropping off cliffs either! Hopefully we’ll get some positive news around results, it might even tempt u back in!

So, investments continue to perform in-line with boards expectations, the board knows no reason for the drop in share price, and some potentially positive initiatives to announce on the day of results. Certainly eased my mind a little! Potential for a top up too?!

Down almost 18% today on no news?! I’d say so! Not many trades, and with little volume to bring it down too, which is a bit surprising. I tried a few dummy buys today and was being offered slightly less than the ‘current’ price each time. Update due this month I believe so hopefully we’ll get some clarity. Anyone with any ideas?

HSBC today upgrades its investment rating on Pan African Resources to Buy (from hold) and raised its price target to 16p (from 15p)

dutylemon although the trades are all showing as sells today I think you’ll find there’s a few buys in there too. I just tried a dummy buy and got offered 7.347 so I’m guessing the trades for 7.47 and even possibly 7.35 are buys. Can’t deny it’s been drifting lower and not sure where it’ll bottom out, but it’s a decent company with a lot of potential so if it goes much lower I’ll be topping up! It’s another hold and wait for the upturn! GLA

Agreed, sensible decision regarding the US, and the rest of the business appears to be operating well.

Paultons Park has done exceptionally well with the highly popular Peppa Pig World. If Merlin can emulate something similar this will be a great addition. With eOne commissioning new episodes and expanding into new regions this will help ensure its longevity. It’ll take time to implement but happy to hold for a return to growth.
