Lekoil (LEK) issued a strong announcement. It has secured $184 million funding from the Qatar Investment Authority for the appraisal drilling and initial development programme on the Ogo field within OPL 310. Currently 9.5p (up from 4.65p at the time of the announcement), Hannam & Partners have calculated a risked NAV of 23p a share and an un-risked NAV of 239p a share.

Having worked for a company with a 5b turnover I know how long a major takes to do a deal. Loads of DD, by numerous departments who then present to the Board for sign off. This can take months and most PI's do not understand the process and sell out. Imo the Shell mou will land soon but may be waiting for an available slot at a board meeting. This can take time.

I have made serious money by accumulating shares awaiting promising news but the sp has dropped because investors are bored or panic. Now buying #MKA. #CLNR and SHG. Gold, oil and rare earths. Troubled times ahead. Commodities may soar.

You wait til that forgotten MOU is signed. We will see 20p in a flash. I had 2.5m of these in the summer and I am kicking myself for derisking too soon. On the other hand I have been caught before and I know the importance of a balanced portfolio. Put my money in some very promising shares so ,2020 could be a magic year. I have no doubt LEK will do well and quick.

What I find strange is no comments from the likes of Malcy, Oilman Jim and others. I suspect they have been buying like crazy and will give LEK the thumbs up this week. This should have a positive impact on Monday. We will see.
