Is the 4p dividend payment in early April affected? I have only read about the 'buyback' delay - which I always think is worthless in reality to the small investors anyway. The hit on future profits and SP is damaging but I would be gutted if another dividend is being hit/delayed as well?
Hi Daniel - this has been HL's standpoint for around a month now without any movement. I am not saying HL are right or wrong but it certainly seems different to Halifax for instance who have been sending shares off for investors and hopefully getting the money in return. I know people waiting for the money and i have read on here with collaboration of a few posters saying they have been paid.
IMO - HL standpoint/delay is frustrating but understandable. It seems absolutely bizarre to me that I appear not to be in control of my own shares/investment/decision as I am repeatedly instructing HL to accept the cash offer and they are saying their corporate action team do not recognise this as a corporate action.
Totally agree. He needs to and if he doesn't it adds weight to my thoughts on scam! Have the pretend job roles still disappeared from the sparkly new website for us suckers?
A great post and correct re future investments. There is people to blame though other than ourselves - how about RM or whoever was placing job adds and announcing partnerships when they were holding nothing and bluffing?
Hi Nick - Hopefully you can see my post on a separate thread to save me re-typing.
I am even more concerned by this 11th deadline you mention and HL saying their CA team are still in consultation. Is the 11th a hard deadline or just one set by your broker?
HL are still telling me that a Corporate Action has not been approved and it doesn't 'qualify' as a Corporate action because Lekoil have advised against selling shares to Lek Nigeria. I have argued this with HL and asked why Halifax are helping their PI's and HL appear not to be. The reply I have received yesterday says 'We can't comment on what service Halifax maybe providing but we are in discussions with the registrar as to what the options are and will be in touch when we know more'
This is a bit concerning (as is the whole situation) when the deadline is the 17th isn't it?
My position is I am very much hoping that I can accept the 1.9p per share as I feel its the only way to see any money from this suspended share and I was in at only late on at 0.94p. I do not want to run the risk of 'Demart' my share and sending it to Nigeria though and would rather this was done via a broker like the Halifax guys are saying - or that's my understanding of what they are saying anyway.
I fully intend on voting to take the 1.9p - which to me is a decent deal, but even if it was not, I would still vote that way as I just want out of what is a basket case surely with no other hope of reclaiming any money with the shares suspended pretty permanently looking! I am still waiting for HL to send me the voting info although they have replied to my email of before Christmas saying they are on the case.
I am a bit of a newbie and certainly have not come across this situation before - can anyone please advise what I need to do if I am not to late or to early please? I have emailed HL who hold my shares and not received a reply!
I only have a very small position and bought in at 0.94p - the share seems a basket case and i would be more than happy with my money back and of course even more so with 1.9p. I did not make it onto the AGM call but I would not trust either party concerned. Seems to me they are both going to bad mouth each other but what is a fact is that the shares are suspended and don't look like coming out of suspension anytime soon do they?
I cant find any actual forms to fill in to indicate that i would like to accept the cash offer for 1.9p and as i said HL have not even replied to my email. Is there something i should be doing to indicate my wishes or have i missed the boat, jumping the gun, or missing something? Please help.
Looks that way hopefully and still going!
Is this due to the buyback RNS do we think?
I agree - I think extra conditions is the middle ground - so it looks like a partial win for the rather 'plastic' opposition by the FCA.
Cheers ISA
Thank you Cineworldmeta for the work you and your colleagues are doing!
I would answer 1 on this poll and am shocked at the other replies frankly. I just want the world pandemic free - regardless of what shares I hold or do not hold!
You mentioned Diabetes a couple of times. Back in the first wave I saw reports that a third of people that had covid badly were Diabetic? I am only 47 and have my type 2 diabetes under control, I am relatively fit and my BMI is 28 (so not great but not the worst) I also have treatment for a chronic vitamin D and Folic Acid shortage - i would be interested in your broad thoughts if you had time.
Thank you gents - I pretty much agree with what has been said.
I am holding for now and potentially will top up if we see a dip around the results on the 26th.
I am positive for the longer term with the new BOD and prospect of lending again.
I also think there maybe a dip on results (buy opp) and then as the new Directors buy in and maybe GJ gets more - will see an immediate upturn?
Gents - new to this game I am afraid, other than long term 'passive' investor in BARC - I follow this board though since I bought into AMGO. I have read on a few threads recently that Q2 results are out soon? - Do we know when please?
Are we expecting that the SP will take a hit then on bad results or??
Newbie to LSE and a very small PI -I read on here but this is first post. I got on board the Amigo rollercoaster at 10p - last couple of days and todays appointments + vaccine hopes is all very encouraging!
