IAG up 2.10% on the day..hopefully tomorrow we can add another couple of percentage points..and then monday we can tick up to £ 1.36 again..its better to hold than trading this, either shorting or day trading it..in case i miss on a big spike!! I reckon this will be £1.50 by end of June...Staff shortages will be sorted out well before the height of the summer. I reckon FTSE will be up next Monday as It wants to break through 7600. Weshall see where we are but i expect an UP week next week starting from Monday. DYOR.

Yes, Istabrraq, the issues have been caused by the government, not the airlines! The government kept, for one , changing the rules on travel all the time causing panic amongst airlines..secondly, the government is failing in speeding up ID's issuance for new entrants...and now, the government has the cheek in blaming airlines???Ahahahahah..Boris needs to go...and fast!! woody2002, i can tell you some people might be YES still using vouchers but many ARE paying the difference in price between the voucher price and the actual cost of the ticket...I was on a flight to a meeting to the US recently and chatting to a couple next to me said that they paid 400 euros each to purchase new tickets (the diffrence0...So, you see, yes the vouchers are still kicking around but if the price of a ticket is now doubled, you would have to pay the difference.

fordm, you might be wrong there...if you read the news, more people , at the moment, are booking flights closer to the date of travel..i guess this is still due to the fact that people are slightly scared because of all the things that could go wrong with Covid and countries still changing their entry rules. I am sure, going forward people will be going back to the old days of booking holidays well in advance and saving a bit for doing that.
