What I find a little troubling about this sale is that we share a director in Mr Kisbey-Green and so they know everything there is to know about Caracal and have still decided to sell. Additionally, I thought Goldplat were doing good business at the moment and so are not obviously in emergency need of cash.
Oh I say; I wonder if there will be anything exciting to talk about?
If not, then perhaps we could just have some sort of a round table with Marula Mining and get to the bottom of just who was responsible for the share issue troubles of yore.
I wonder how long and how much it would cost to obtain a mining licence over exploration areas if a decent discovery has been made? They might well need an additional agreement with the relevant land owner and some sort of environmental licence/clearance.
I don't want to sound like a negative nelly but if they went looking for and expecting gold and came back with silver and copper I am not sure I would be dancing around calling it a great success. Obviously an economic discover of anything is a good result though.

This site puts it at 83 which could well be around 67 in Sterling. Im never convinced these sites get the maths correct though given the number of GDRs.
I agree that management do appear to be aligned to shareholders but there is perhaps some daylight between us due to their performance shares; that seems to give them something of a ‘free hit’ if they wished.

Seems to come from a neighbouring county to Caracal’s own Dan Kazungu so hopefully they are very well acquainted.
If you are feeling bored why have a look at the Kenyan ministry’s mining portal (not sure how often they update it though):-
