Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A few questions if I may ask...
Has KDnC paid the initial £2.5m for the 20% stake in the project?
Will it be financing the additional 7% stake via a placing or through revenue generated from the sale of the iron ore stockpile? I've read through rns's and still uncertain as to those things.
Cheers
Wonder whether we'll get an RNS in the morning with an update on agm and operational plans...
Monty, considering the launch of a new location is a milestone in the companies development and potentially a revenue generator (yeah I know), can you explain why you think it is not deserving of an RNS? Surely it is materially significant information and not every investor uses social media.
I'm very disappointed by this rather lame approach, it doesn't convey confidence to the investor or wider market. It is as if they are ashamed of the progress or lack of.
There's been too much bs so far and not enough action. If they are having difficulties then these should be discussed and dealt with at board level, mitigation strategies put in place and change of strategy. This should then be communicated to shareholders so that they are in the loop and can have a bit more confidence in the direction of the company.
Today is going to prove a turning point, either it will provide the boot up the arris and key 'leaders' will address issues or we will be in the brown stuff.
At some point in the next 6 months they will need to go back to the market and place new shares, if the market has no confidence then there will be significant dilution. It is in everyone's best interests to draw a line under the poor show to date, dust themselves down, roll up sleeves, ans get the show back on the road.
Logical explanation would be there were traders expecting better numbers and dont want to wait so have sold out.
Probable reason is the above plus usual AIM shorting/mm fun and games. No doubt having been pushed down those in the know will load up before a miraculous yet unexplainable rise..
Lack of exposure and awareness is why the marketing guy has arrived. Social media and web based marketing could really ramp up awareness and exposure fast, as could a tie up with a chain.
I'm disappointed at the performance to date, however, I think they are getting their act together behind the scenes at last and that over the coming 3 or 4 weeks there'll be more positivity here.
Hopefully they'll have some discussion around restoring investor confidence prior to or whilst gathered for the AGM.
****e to see the plan isn't going to script but the positive is that they've recognised that albeit not said so.
Having a marketing guru onboard should help drive both consumer and business awareness and targetting chains will also help too. I'm going to sit tight here for a couple of months and see what progress is being made.
There is dilution. The number of shares in issue is increasing by 42% from 134.5m to 191.7ish.
Now lets see the fireworks today :)
I thought there were going to be more shares issued than that, the may rns stated "As part of the Strategic Investment, GFL would subscribe for a 29.99% equity interest in Bacanora for a cash consideration of £14,400,091, being 57,600,364 new ordinary shares in the Company"
So, right now we have 134m shares in issue. When ganfeng deal is completed that will rise to 191m, thus a 42% dilution in order for them to then have a 29.99% stake in the enlarged share capital.
Historic high closing sp here is £1.37, reduce that by 42% and you get 79.46p. So even without factoring in the whole derisking of the project and possible reductions in project costs it is likely that the sp could increase from current levels by a factor of one.
Has anyone else ever come up with a suggested future share price on completion of funding using a more sound method than my quite frankly awful one? If so be good to see some numbers because I think we will be getting some news by end of the month.
If you look at the spread and do a dummie buy you'll see that the sells at 2.94 are buys. I know because I did that and topped up at that price too.
If it goes below 2.5 I'll take the opportunity to average down
Hope you are right about groups Ronald. This is getting hammered by sellers and/or shorters and will continue to be until news drops. Could be some bounce if good news does drop, would laugh if ab RNS came during the trading day rather than 7am.
Think there is probably some truth in that Zarro. It's in Ganfeng's best interests to see the sp dwindle in order for them to acquire their stake at the lowest price possible. Throw in global issues and general market malaise and there's bargains to be had for them.
If secker knew this would take as long as it is then he's a muppet for saying a few weeks in the last RNS. If he didn't know it would take this long then he's either naive or showing his lack of experience. Either way it's a pain in the aris, though of course as investors we have two choices, put up with it or move to an alternative investment. I'll be holding and waiting for the news to drop, albeit throwing a few hissy fits like this along the way :)
Good way of putting it Late. And as others have commented there are ways that this can work, radio silence from the company isn't helping my nerves though!
Have to say the fact that the award ceremony in London has been and gone without an RNS today has made me much less confident in BD.
I don't know about any other investor, and I'd welcome genuine investors opinions, but it is looking like they're finding it difficult to sign up places even in London. I had thought that there'd be plenty of interest in the product and that today we'd have some news with reasonable numbers.
Instead its looking like an 'award evening' has been used as a desperate attempt to get sign ups and we may have to wait a few weeks more to see anything. This is despite the previous talk of having hypergrowth in September.. It's not looking great here at the moment. I just hope that we can get some news out soon and that behind the scenes there is plenty going on to give confidence to all that wish to see this do well. See what the rest of the week brings.
Or it could be usual AIM bs and an RNS is coming tomorrow but some lucky peeps have been let in on the cheap
Probably because the market was expecting to hear of the launch of bd in Manchester and London about a week ago as well as a general update on how everything is going elsewhere...
Very much looks that way, possibly another share disclosure rns next week and then this will really motor.
