Leading PC makers show sales growth across the board REVENUE EXPANSION:Quanta Computer Inc said this year’s cumulative sales have increased 54.5%, as it shipped 5 million portable computers last month BY JASON TAN / STAFF REPORTER Major PC contract manufacturers and brand producers in Taiwan yesterday released sales data for last month, with all reporting an upward trend in their respective figures. Quanta Computer Inc (廣達), the world’s largest notebook contract maker by revenue, saw last month’s sales reach NT$96.7 million (US$3 million) — a rise of 11.9 percent from August and 32.8 percent from a year earlier. Cumulative sales from January to last month expanded 54.5 percent from last year to NT$805.5 million, Quanta said in a statement. The Linkou (林口), Taipei County-based company shipped a record 5 million portable computers last month to clients, including Hewlett-Packard Co and Apple Inc. In the third quarter, it shipped 13 million laptops, down 5.1 percent from 13.7 million units in the second quarter, the statement said. The drop in shipments is in line with the company’s earlier forecast of a miniscule to minus 5 percent change in third-quarter shipments. Ignis The last RNS 24/06/10 after the Placing'Offer they are showing Ignis buying 2042823 shares and have a total of 5992513 shares . So they must have had 3949690 shares before the RNS . Yet at their last RNS before the Placing 12/05/10 they had 5747513 shares ! So they must have sold 1797823 shares when the SP was 40p and starting to go down more . This wasn't reported and on the their last RNS they forgot to fill in the "Situation Previous to the Triggering Transaction" They sold a chunk to help cover their buy in to the Placing and don't they look great for doing it !
