My point is you could have gone short on any miner in feb/March 2021 and made money, most tech companies infact. Maybe even most companies?

I think panning someone for holding is only relevant if the share never recovers, it’s a bit early in the race to condemn any investment strategy in the crypto mining industry, no? You could have mocked people for holding amazon for example in any one of their many major downturns in their infancy. I also think it’s pretty clear the crypto downturn is more a global meltdown, than an acute industry fall. A lot of stocks are at or around their 52wk lows.

You don’t HAVE to hold a miner. You can swap out to MSTR, or stay in cash and wait for further pain?
