Was contracting at the time (2009/2010) and didn't really have anything better to do with the spare cash other than stuffing it into shares... Stock market was on its sr5e at that time also. Used to use an hour everything Friday afternoon looking for something to stuff the spare cash into. Then popped back up to my computer in the office and did my best to look inconspicuous. Sat on some of those shares ever since. The other one that did a blinder is Rentokil.

As I say, Lloyds shares look exceptionally cheap on paper. But this reflects the prospect of severe profits trouble in the near term and weak earnings growth thereafter. On balance I’d still rather buy other value stocks.

Do you not think the Labour / union links are fairly well fractured, as it is. The link are only a shadow of what they were in the past.

However, the new key variable is that the Reform UK party will leech votes from the tories. So, that combined with the dissatisfaction with the tory party and those who won't bother to come up to vote will see the tories decimated.

So Tories are going to get squeezed in the middle until the pips squeak.

Next election is going to be super to watch and a bloodbath for the tories.

Might just get my popcorn order in early!

Notwithstanding, having Labour in power will be a welcome breath of fresh air and do wonders for the share price, which should rocket!!!

But, I am deadly serious!

We have had 13 years of Tory mismanagement and look where we are now!

Roads are clogged, trains don't run and catch a fortune, airports end up in chaos on a frequent basis and don't even consider taking the channel tunnel to France at peak time. NHS is falling to bits with roofs collapsing, waiting lists getting longer and shortage of staff.

And then there was the Liz Truss spectacular which rocked the markets! Other Tory policies which have rather hugely reduced impacted severely on UKPLC.

Labour will be welcome relief.

Just look at where the lloyds share price. That is all you look at to see the evidence of the Tory failure.

Now that the Tories are in utter disarray and will lose the next election, we can look forward to Labour in power.

Should bring stability to the markets and a nice rise in the share price.

Really great news that Labour will be coming to the rescue after 13 years of tory lies and incompetence.
