Hi anapa I remember reading your post with interest on the glen board. I am keeping an eye on glen and looking for a decent reentry point. I have 60k invested in wizz and its proving to be a lot more exciting than glen.
I have read an article in the FT which says glencore has acquired a stake in a UK factory called British volt which is going to supply electric car batteries and glen will also supply them with cobalt . Hopefully will be good for business.
Anyone have an idea why Anglo American is rising today along with Glen but Rio tinto is down . They normally follow a similar percentage increase. Just can't find any information on Anglo for today's rise.
Morning all have just read an article on stock watch and it show statistics that since 1952 81% of the time there's been a drop of 5% on the s &p 500 the next day has seen an increase in share prices. Have no idea how to put this info onto this site. Hope this is of interest.
Good morning Ken, Do you think it's now more likely that Glen will be taken back in house rather than stay public and if so would we be compensated as share holders. Been in Glen for years now and feeling rather disillusioned .
Hi Billy Do you think this is likely? I would have thought they would have taken the company back in house when the share price dropped to around 80p in early 2016.
The ecb has just announced they are keeping interest rates on hold,i think the markets were expecting a rate cut. ftse has just turned negative,I think this could be the reason the shares are taking a bit of a hit.
