Breaking that 10 EMA was a important moment. Finally we can get some momentum going unless something comes from out the blue to knock us off course

Rumour is Kawsi is being sacked.

I thought the same. First time we break the 10 EMA in months and CPI steps in and kicks us in the plums. Cannot catch a break on this share.

CPI print hotter than expected in the USA.

CPI is the next event risk or catalyst.

A hot number will be bad for stocks. But any print. showing a moderation should give us a tailwind even if short lived.

The S&P 500 has been down 13 of the last 16 trading days. Are the buybacks that important? October 26th the machines are back on in full force again…

Done well to get the average down to 85p. I would also feel a lot better at that then in triple figures.

I sold all my holdings except THG in August due to seasonality. The data shows that September, on average, is a poor month, but that markets improve from October into year end. The problem is that this year could be an outlier with so many different problems all hitting at the same time. I did see a tweet from a website that I think is really on the ball. In the US market, they are currently in a share buyback blackout period right now. That is due to end on the 25th of October so SHOULD in normal times be a tailwind to the market. And as we know, in normal times, where there US leads we follow. So I have money ready to deploy but am just waiting until end of October to see if seasonality does kick in or not.

PPI AND CPI data the next few days will be a needle mover in either direction based on what the results are.

Looks like the BOE has confirmed it isn't extending the bond purchase program beyond Friday. Let's see how that effects things.

I am thinking same. Any person that has been involved since say, JANUARY, has see this smash up by big amounts then lose it during the course of the day so many times. I seem to remember twice it has been up over 10% and lost it all by end of day to finish in the red. And lots of times it has been up over 6% and lost it all.

It's easy to be optimistic when you haven't been in for long and have say a 40p average. But you should excuse those of us with a much longer holding period being a bit more pessimistic in the outlook when we are nursing 80% plus losses.
