Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Often takeover offers are revised upwards when they realise they can't get enough shares to make the takeover go ahead, it all depends on the large stakeholders and whether they are willing to sell up at a low offer price or not, but I'm sure because the smaller shareholders have clubbed together against the low offer then it will possibly give the larger holders a better position to negotiate a better offer.
They need to purchase enough shares to trigger the takeover compulsory purchase.
M wall that's how I see it, unless they offer enough for the big players to think seriously about selling up then they have no chance of getting enough shares for compulsory purchase.
And 67p isn't going to cut it I'm sure.
It's worth waiting for the big money and the future that lithium has it could go up drastically when the ice car production ends.
Then what will a prospect like this be worth.
Yes people have to remember that the institutions want to maximise profits as well and I doubt they will agree at this low takeover offer.
Often you get low ball offers to begin with but soon get revised upwards when they realise that they can't buy enough shares for compulsory purchase to take place.
Some of the articles Bob mentions can't be found via searching, and he never puts links up so if he is making it up it will be braking fca rules on conduct, especially as bcn is in a sensitive takeover period, I would imagine.
Seems no facts behind his posts.
Great to refresh people on the actual quality and quantity of the Sonora mine, has bobs misleading post gone?
Can't see it anywhere.
Great article, shows just how undervalued BCN is.
Just had a look and it looks like they can only get to 70% ish with the top 10 institutional investors and there own stake, so they may need our support to get to the compulsory purchase level.
By the looks of support here it won't go through unless they revise up by quite a bit.
I can't see the bidder getting enough shares at 67p, it's likely to be revised upwards if they can't get to the compulsory purchase percentage.
It seems that they don't want to make the bid official just yet so they have to keep there stake at 30% or less this stops them buying in the market, so as soon as the bid is official they will be buying all the shares in the market they need to get above the compulsory purchase percentage which I think is 90% or there abouts.
If the bidder gets above 30% they are legally bound to make a bid.
Personally I think they are probably trying to get the large institutional investors to promise there support to get close to the 90% compulsory purchase level.

The offer is low ball and I'm sure they will have to pick up the offer price in my opinion to get the required amount of shares.
And that's if the Americans allow it to go ahead, maybe we will see an American counter offer?
Who knows but either way at this price the bidder thinks its worth more, I feel its worth a lot more especially with all the lithium about to be used in the near future.
CLDN in investors chronicle today, good article just giving information from the last update and pointing out how good they have been doing with investments and pointing out the discount etc.
Well I have doubled down a few times here, eventually value will come out I'm sure, and fpo are in a good position financially having sold a property just in the nick of time.
They should be able to pick up some bargain properties, that's what I'm looking out for but no new deals yet.
A couple of new properties /deals under the belt will make me feel better here.
Yes fantastic update today, and CLDN have proven that they can still perform during times of turmoil.
Apart from buzz the investments are doing very well.
I'm sure the NAV discount is going to tighten after this update hits the press over the next few weeks.
Very happy to hold here.
Not bad considering the turmoil the sector has had, I feel going forward demand will be pretty good, students want to go to uni and participate in lectures, online is second best really.
So I feel as soon as it can get back to normal it will do. Don't mind the missing dividend for the time being but having it reinstated is something to look forward to.
They are bound by the reit rules on that anyway so it will definitely come back at some point.
Very happy to be here.
Great update from CLDN today, it's a rather well run investment company that has a great approach to investing, and seems to get great results.
Happy to keep money parked here.
Some great news just recently, results were great, also ant financial to be split off possibly worth $200bln plus.
Today some tmall news, looks like aiming for more big brand business aiming at the unstoppable rise of the Chinese middle class which is already massive but growing larger each year.
Yes thats what im thinking on this whole thing.
Its got to make up for the loss in foriegn students and i can imagine UK uni's being very busy after this.
Really happy to hold here, markets are over estimating hours many students are going to stay at home this year in my opinion students will still want to go to university and carry on there education, especially if the jabs market is a bit tighter this year.
ESP have desirable properties for the post covid years mainly en suite and self contained studios, so it will be interesting to see how they fair compared to others.
It also seems Labour are helping fill our properties by trying to upgrade a level results!
Great results, great progress in cloud and sales, and some great strategies and forward progress.
Well chuffed with this very fast growing company.

I read somewhere that some Uni's were banning second and third year students from having a year off.
Also Uni's are going to struggle if to many take a year out,I can see them doing everything in there power to get students back in and pretend buisness as usual.
Althought this year isn't going to be a great year for esp and other student accomadation I feel it's not going to be as bad as the markets have discounted ESP.
A steady march to normal should lift the share price.
