>> tells me it's nicely engineered or total incompetance
I suspect the latter given the inability to execute any other plan effectively ...
Presumably that's revenue, not appointments, although the base for the +20% was probably lower than pre-covid!
GLT .... 18M+ .. OMFG .. and I thought I was (shrinking) balls-deep here with 2M! I'm trying not to look at the SP too often!
Maybe a dance-off could end the bickering? But which one is Twix and which is CooperD?!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47gahDuOff8
I'd sell a few shares for the PopWorld entrace fee to watch that!
Because he's run out of blunt sticks and this is the next best thing?
As long as it's solvent based gloss they'll be fine - they certainly wouldn't have to worry about buying in at the top of a spike.
Twix, loads of the other coivd test / testing companies that had massive SP spikes sold nothing or had nothing to sell. They have bigger problems than we do here and their spikes were purely driven by hype and hope! GDR , Abingdon, ODX, all 90% down from their highs! I know everything is not perfect here, but we really deserved some better SP action before dropping back!!
IMO, it's sentiment that drives the SP way past fair value, and that happens in both directions!
You could equally argue that we needed far more CooperD's here in the testing / test bubble - Let their enthusiasm drive the SP like all the other covid stocks (without realism dragging it down), we could've sold out at 50p+ and be living happily ever after!
ODX 7p -> 100p -> 5p .... plenty of chances there!
ISATOny ... Weren't a lot of the lab staff vacancies advertised as fixed term contracts?
You *****!!!
I can't believe you'd leave him without so much as taking him a cuppa in bed - and miss the opportunity of placing a fun size twix finger on the saucer?
Maybe it was Lyn or a BOD member? You've been throwing enough mud in their direction!
You can re-post it here and simply edit out the personal details!
Natdan, bloody typical - looks like admin deleted the last episode of the series!
Or you might find that some of the £37m has been spent on that instead ...
.. but it's always good to talk negatives, right?
It's probably just a bigged-up HR assistant role, but you know how people like a job title!
Stas, bakky,
Here's your chance to make a difference ...
hTTps://yourgenehealth.livevacancies.co.uk/#/job/details/233
The Culture & Performance Manager will have responsibility for the operational management of the Global Culture and Performance function. You will ensure that we have the right people management systems, policies and procedures, recruit and retain talent, produce monthly global reports for the board meeting and Senior Leadership Team Meetings and manage the HR dashboard.
CooperD, you've missed so much - Twix is now the voice of reason! We've had our glass half full / half empty differences over the years but nothing compared to the recent drama!
It's almost unbelievable that people would trash their own investments like this - are they just burning wads of £50 notes out of principle? Do they have that much money to throw away? If you don't want the cash, why not sell up and give it to friends / family / charity rather than make it vanish into thin air? Are people really that stupid?
... or, since that is so illogical, what's an alternative explanation? Perhaps they have a cunning plan between them? They spotted something, sold quick, then ***** on about it for months to trash sentiment and buy back much cheaper? Oh no, it's just principles - they didn't reply to my emails. Keep on burning the £50 notes .. PML.
Stas, are you now you're saying the SP wouldn't be 14p now even if they'd made an announcement, it's actually down to the big seller? Which is it?
I see your point, but IMO their intention was not to cause damage the SP with news that had immaterial financial impact given that estimates were being raised. The difference is that other companies were completely stuffed by the new CTDA regs, for them it was very material. IMO, therein lies the key difference.
The drop (IMO) is fear / negative sentiment driven that far exceeds the significance of the event. If you think that the SP would now be 14p if there was an announcement, does this mean that your & bakky's continual sentiment bashing here has cost each shareholders 5p a share?
Natdan has a very valid point ... We're vulnerable at this SP
Ok, my take.... I'm annoyed at the SP, of course I bloody am. It's been dire. My point is, it doesn't need YOUR help to make it MORE dire! Put your best Frozen voice on and sing along "Let it go .. let it go". Go on, try it!
Walbrook are useless - name any AIM PR company that isn't. Companies swap to a different one from time to time, all equally crap. That's just life IMO.
Fine, you / bakky found something TEMPORARILY blocking Clarigene sales. Is it material? £1m rev tops IMO but FY estimates have been revised up to £37m and far outweigh this. Any RNS would spook investors way beyond the significance of it. No doubt they are still working the approvals process and being fed "soon" every time they ask / chase. We can re-sell other approved Covid tests if necessary, process other tests and provide lab work and sequencing.
The DHSC work will probably have been processing tests which could identify the presence (or not) of S gene to determine Omicron / other and then the result used to determine whether to sequence or not. I don't *think* ours did that but happy to be corrected. I genuinely believe this is the least of our worries.
I want to see a profit too - it's been too long coming, however, as long as they aren't continually coming to the market and diluting, I can live with break even for a while longer if investments work and revenues grow fast. How long was it before amazon/tesla made a profit?
We had to expand to get capacity for the DHSC, did we overdo it? Can we pick up ongoing lab work? Use the capacity for NIPT etc with increased demand? Can we expand core business? Are these new hires earning their keep? Time will tell. That's where the focus should be and I'd rather they were working on that.
Stas - Win an argument? Which argument was I trying to win?
This ongoing crusade is benefitting nobody unless they have a short or want to buy back lower, or just want to feel smug. It's as simple as that. Which category are you in? Do you hold? Have you sold? Are you short?
bakky used to be one of the most balanced posters on this BB, now he just seems intent on destroying what shareholder value there is left. Why?
Perhaps you should be more concerned about why the approvals agency(ies) seem to be favouring the bigger players rather than supporting smaller UK businesses? Perhaps they make donations or apply pressure to be reviewed first? Is that fair? Is that right? Is that ethical? Is that legal? Have you asked yourself why the smaller companies appear to be frozen out? Any ideas?
Twix, it's up to you, buy or sell, nobody cares. Everyone here is big enough to make their own decisions and either stomach losses or enjoy profits in YGEN or whichever shares they choose. I've sold a few along the way but still hold 1.6M+ - That's plenty.
My point was that nobody has a crystal ball, you & me included. If anyone did, they'd have sold in the 20's. The difference is, I don't spend all day gloating and telling everyone I sold some at 16p or whatever, and that I warned everyone and that I could see it all coming.
People have lost money, does being smug about that give you a kick?
