Bit of Panda news. To me this kind of thing seems like it's more likely we get compensation than to complete the takeover if we win the Panda court case. PANDA AGREES TO BUY BIOVERDA FROM CERBERUS – The country's biggest waste management firm, Panda, has agreed to buy electricity producer Bioverda, as it deepens its nascent presence in the power market, the Irish Independent writes today. Bioverda, owned by US investment firm Cerberus, extracts methane gas from landfill sites and generates electricity that is currently sold to Airtricity and Vayu. The acquisition of Bioverda - once a part of Greenstar - will see Panda's power business take the first step towards being vertically integrated. It currently owns no other power generating assets. Industry sources reckon the sale to Panda could be worth as much as €12m. It is thought that the Bioverda sites currently produce a total of about 20 megawatts of electricity.
I don't know if I see it as an orchestrated plot to lower the SP necessarily TC. Even the LTH on this board who have been in for years are pretty fed up at present. Can imagine someone just thinking enough is enough and getting out at any price. No buyers about because let's be honest it's been a long while since any exciting news. I'm staying in anyway, if the theories we have are true then it's not worth bailing at this price. Won't be topping up any more though.
Same here TC, we should know by now to expect it I guess. Pretty nice buy before open. Never know, we might get 1 or 2 this afternoon. Something I have noticed and think doesn't help is that CRV doesn't appear on the risers/fallers board when it should be there. I have contacted LSE about this and received a polite reply saying that sort of fault does sometimes happen with certain shares and they would keep an eye on it and fix if I'm correct.
Much more bullish statement. I particularly like the look of the wording about upcoming investments. Sounds pretty imminent, clearly we all hope it's the big Vos investment rather than some pretty odd Angola style one. Despite Craven only undertaking one material investment during the period, the Investment Manager continues to evaluate a number or prospective opportunities and we look forward to reporting further investment activity in the coming weeks and months. The majority of the new equity raised was deployed by the Company during the period by way of intercompany loans to Craven's subsidiaries in South Africa ($1.5 million) and Angola ($9.5 million) and, as previously announced, has begun to be invested in these respective jurisdictions, with further investment activity expected to be announced shortly.
Seems strange that we can't see which side is appealing. I'd hope the Business Post might pick it back up, more faith in them uncovering something than CRV telling us to be honest. Once again expecting a pretty downbeat commentary in the interims. At least NAV should be improved which could give us a bit of a boost.
Thank you very much for the research TC and Karina, always much appreciated. Does seem like a lot of coincidences here if that isn't the plan. I don't imagine something like this will all be revealed quickly but at least we have some huge potential news in the pipeline.
Don't know if this is the same company. W.B. Nominees Limited is a subsidiary of Walker Crips Stockbrokers (WCSB) and acts as a nominee holding assets on behalf of customers of the Walker Crips Group. The principal advantage of keeping securities in a broker’s Nominee name is the saving of paperwork associated with Share transactions. WCSB use a non-trading Company, W.B. Nominees Limited, for holding customer’s securities in an appropriate manner.
So WB Nominees is new. I don't know if Platform Securities is a new name for Intelligent Building Systems or what, will see if I can dig anything up. More interestingly Amber Fortress have updated their stake, we all remember who they seem to be I'm sure.
Morning Scargs. I don't have your number but I do have Rustys email from last year. Are you both attending again? If so I will use his details and you can both get a few pints out of it. I'm abroad for the next few days so I will sort it when I get back. Hope all goes well today.
Also(and this is probably something they wouldn't answer) how does the depressing statement in the results recently and the poor recent share price performance tally with the large sums the investors have invested at a significant premium to current SP?
Evening Scargs, I meant to make a couple of suggestions when you kindly offered before but never got around to it. I suppose these are probably points you'd have been planing to ask anyway but of particular interest to me; Why they think the court case isn't relevant else to tell us and how confident they are, any info about Royalty sports after the article from everyone's favourite website, what is going on with some of the older investments such as Emvest, the Brazilian land and the Farmlands of Africa(following Ebola dying down) and what if anything is going on with GEM. I'm also intrigued about the Emma Burrows/Amber Fortress link but I doubt that's something you'd want to ask and I'm certain they'd not answer anyway so that's probably a none starter. As per last year I'd be happy to send you and anyone else going a little donation for a few drinks in return for sharing any answers or info you get. They really don't make it easy to get to these so much respect for anyone making the journey.
Registered on the site so i can watch it just in case. Doesn't seem like much to worry about though. "I understand that PrimaryBid lists all companies active on AIM and there is no guarantee the company will choose to issue shares in a placing. "
