That was a valuable lesson i learnt from the guys when i started.. I used to be gutted for days if i took profits only to see the share do another 50%.. But how can you be gutted making money ? No one ever went bust banking a profit.

Indeed, thats why we all love it.. QFI badly needs news imo now to justify the mcap.

No one ever sells at the top... Langyy you definately taught me to take profits when happy, and dont be greedy..

I shouldnt have constructive chats with langyy (i wont say argue), as he is far far more experienced then me, but was just stating how i look at things now, and it works for me.. Take our wsg for example, you said yourself its more or less impossible to buy shares now, as there are hardly nay available to buy... So imagine what will happen "if" this contract rns lands..

Sorry i wasnt implying a company was a dog if its got billions of shares.. Just that it has to have other factors to back that amount of shares in issue up.. If it hasnt then yes I class it as a dog..

No because the point i am trying to get across is its the amount of shares that are held, and the amount that are in cirulation.. With wres because the bod hold so many, it means 1. there isnt much free float. 2. shows huge confidence.

Rec post 15:50... Definately.. But has to be taken in to consideration.. Like i said all just my take, and if I was looking at company with over a billion shares now, i would look at 1. Are they in a niche market. 2. how many shares are in free float. 3. how many do the bod hold.

sentiment towards barclays ?? And again how tightly the shares are held.. Im not big on the financial shares, maybe hawks could comment on that ? Like I said earlier its not all, as look at wres, but again the bod hold 60% or something don't they ? Its just my take on things now having made my trade starting out with shares with billions in issue.. I personally don't see any long term value in them... Short term yes.

And yeah shareholder value is paramount.. Hence again the demand for lloyds over say mtv, otc, her, ore, rrr etc...

Coz the amount of people buying them and holding them.. II's etc. (So most of the lloyds shares will be held) Take TSTR 5 billion shares in issue, most of them are probably in circulation.

I am biased, but for me there is no better investment on the aim than wsg.. Ticks every box. If it is not treble figures by the end of the year I will be gone from here.

For me like i said shares in issue do matter as per my below post.. (If you want to hold long term).. Even MTV can rise say 50% on good news, so if u time you buy right you can make money.. (Akel does it), but as quikcly as it rises 50% it falls 50% just as fast.

Lloyds is FTSE, im talking aim.

The shares in issue thing is crucial if you are looking long term in a company, learnt that from ore.. Superb prospects, awfully managed.. Never ever held gains.. You will always make money trading these type of companies if you time it right.. (Like u do), but long term they have no prospect.. Just my take on things now. Only company I have seen that is an excepetion is wres, but that because the bod hold huge amounts of the shares.

You have to stick to targets or decide to cut your losses.. Patience does reward as we all know, just think now at under 0.3p that would need some hell of an rns to get it anywhere near 1.2p with all those shares, as any gains will not hold. (Useless bod imo) All part of the learning curve and investing game on the aim. Since I have change the way i look at things in 2013, I have made far more money.
