what would we do if we got 'bad news' today. Well I would have liked to have got news this morning but hey ho.
So today I'll do some work from home (nothing too stressing I hope), then I'll put up some baby furniture as we are expecting our first 'shortly'.
There are always more important things in our lives than waiting on something we can't control. But what's more important is to not be a tool like some of this mornings posters. Imagine, they are probably bringing up children with their ethics and morals.
I appreciate it is a worrying time for some. For me, I have a lot invested. A lot to me is tiny in comparison to some here but it is all relative. I don't post often because I'm not as knowledgeable as some others. But where I can offer advice, it would be chill out, go to the fridge, take out a nice cold can of man the F up and down it in one. There is literally nothing that can be done now.
Ranting on a board is certainly not gonna help peoples health. Stay away from the keyboard and take your mind off it. We will know everything in a month. If you want to be negative, expect the worst, get your head around it- then anything else is a bonus.
You're welcome
I don't think it is unusual for the big companies to dispose of assets when the price is low. Especially when they have to prioritise where they are going to spend their money. I know Glencore have disposed of assets for peanuts when the price was low- those same assets are feasible and other companies will profit. You can't always run every project you own. Likewise you can't buy shares in all the companies you want to if you have money tied up.
To be fair to TDT he was a bit more upbeat yesterday which was surprising. Maybe is he just a bit pessimistic in general.
Good luck all- hopefully we'll be alright. Find out soon enough I guess.
My AJBell account says the same. Though I can't remember what it said over the past few weeks :s
The company I work for bought another company for £60million that was on its door step-literally!! It was the same piece of land. Us employees who didn't need to know about the deal didn't start hearing anything until a few weeks before the deal was done. And that was only because since higher ups let it slip. The deal took months and was actually really simple between 2 british companies. I imagine this is a bit more complicated with different countries and banks involved. It'll take a while. Chill
Sorry if it's been said on here before. I've seen EUA are doing their bit at PDAC 3rd March? So no news until then I guess. Surely they will be asked the question why the company has suspended trading and with all the big players about, news is bound to be released. Or is it another opportunity to put themselves in the shop window. Hopefully we'll hear some.
Cheers
Rich
They are basically betting on whether the share price will go up or down to a certain point and sometimes within a time frame. Mike Ashley is quite famous for doing this. I believe he placed a large spread bet on tesco's a while back plus many others. Some he won, some he lost.
I hope he walks away with at least a couple hundred million pound from this. Then we're all happy!
So my first share purchases were Fever tree @2.15- sold at £5. Bought Boohoo at .35 and sold at 60p just before my wedding (thinking that was good lol). Not a lot but every little helped. Got into SXX and luckily sold out evens at 25p. Thought HZM would be my big one but then someone popped on their board and said about EUA so half came in here. 80,000 shares so not many but with my first little one on the way this is hopefully perfect timing. GLA
does that mean you'll sell if someone tells you it's going back to 5p? I'm not a mining expert but at least read whats out there and make a decision yourself. If it seems like a good opportunity great. If you totally don't understand it maybe look at something else.
Did he definitely say 2p? I was on my dinner break and couldn't catch everything clear.
Ring your broker and ask to do a bed and ISA. They'll sort you out in a jiffy.
hi all- got in here after reading a lot over the weekend. Just waited for funds to clear. Gutted not to get yesterday. Interesting to see where this can go. Looking to hold for a decent amount!
hope2hope. there is a brilliant documentary on netflix following world leading flat earthers in America. They saved up lots of money to buy specialist kit to prove that earth is flat. They had 2 tests which would prove the earth is flat.
They actually proved themselves wrong and that indeed the world is a globe. However they then said they are in too deep with friendship and their 'fame' to accept the decision and are now revisiting their experiments to prove themselves correct- which of course won't happen.
I've been in here for 2 years predominantly watching on the sidelines with an average just over 4. Great to finally see the hard work coming to fruition. This is my first big (by my terms) investments and i'm excited to see further development. Always appreciated the information and chat on this board. GLA
So with previous talks of many multiples of "current" share price over the past year. Now we are hopefully getting nearer to achieving this in any potential buy outs. Are we thinking many multiples of today's price. Or are people thinking many multiples of last year when the share price was 5p?
thanks, i meant to say its the Dec 19 Dec 20 Dec 21 i wasn't sure. are these just near term price targets as such.
afternoon all
could some explain to me the different price meaning on the LME site. I've tried looking online but haven't found anything.
Cash 11010.00 11020.00

I think it's a case of 'wake me up when September ends'
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that each tonne of nickel produced at Araguia would cost about $7k? So if on production nickel is $14k per tonne. We're supposed to be able to produce 14,500 tonnes per annum. That's around the $100million profit mark. With that in mind how high could this thing really go? And then we could hopefully factor in a rise in the nickel price and Vermelho etc
I was all for a nice buyout early on....however if this can go to production, surely if would be better to stick around for a few years or more?
