At present UK listed banks are experiencing a torrid time in terms of share price performance, but they can be no excuse for a current RBS pre consolidation share price of just 24P, at this late stage of the turnround of the bank almost fully complete.

Both Lloyds and Vodafone suffer from onerous market regulation and fierce industry competition. It is now hard to comprehend just a few short years ago these shares were trading at £10 and over £3 respectively and Vodafone did not even pay out a dividend.

A bit like Lloyds investors they still live in hope of the proverbial pot of gold waiting at the end of of the rainbow.

Lloyds will have to consider a merger with a large overseas financial institution or several small bolt on non- UK based acquisitions if the elusive £1.00 share price tag is ever to be reached.

Yes Oxo but not at any price. There is a distinct possibilty the share price is set to gyrate around the mid 50s or lower in the event of a No - Deal Brexit. UBS and Lloyds should have had forseen the possibility of this scenario unfolding, they are going to look pretty foolish and regret purchasing tens of millions of shares for the buyback programme in the high 60s.

A positve move by Berkshire, they have a lot of excess cash sat on the balance sheet and with no further acquisitions on the horizen and the shares trading well below intrinsic value it makes good sense if they intend to go down the share buy back route.
