Whosthedaddy, remember the old saying "The only certainty in life is death". There is no certainty regarding the GSA until its agreed signed by both parties involved.
I find its best not to worry about things that you have no control over, I find it reduces frustration and stress tremendously...……..
Whosthedaddy, Circumstances change in the business world all the time and decisions made cannot be set in stone and are bound to change.
There is the possibility of a significant gas find at TE 10 in the coming weeks, therefore although this isn't inside the concession area the morocco authorities are bound to take this into account when moving forward with the GSA.
Sound also have to adapt to the changing situation and revise their position accordingly. These are complex matters and as James has said its important to get this right as there's a significant amount of value involved. Also both parties might want to delay the GSA with the possibility of Sound being bought or the asset sold and therefore leaves more flexibility for all the parties involved including any potential buyer.
Its easy to sit back and criticise when you don't know the background information and the strategy and policy of each side is employing in the negotiation.
Even if we had the agreement signed right now, going by the recent lacklustre response on the SP to previous Rns's, I doubt it would have much impact in the short term.
We should cut the bod some slack on this and let them just get on with it, James cant always be as candid as I'm sure he would like to be with us about this and when this whole adventure is over we will find out the facts of what went on during this period and realise the complexity of the negotiations that are going on atm...….
I agree Seaton, We are far more likely to get value from SM if it is transferred to newco and we carry out a drill program, particularly if we can farm it out and get someone else to fund it.
If its in the pot with the Tendrara asset then it will be more of a sweetener on the deal, so not much value will be gained from it for us. Our shares were diluted quite a bit in the deal to acquire SM so it would be nice at the very least to return some value from the asset in the long term...……..
Mike I don't think we do deserve an explanation. Its obviously happening for a good reason and its being done in the interests of the company and ultimately investors. The strategy will change to adapt to new information as things progress. Also how things will be perceived by potential buyers has to be taken into account. They will be working out the best way to add value to our asset and I personally don't require confirmation from James about why certain things have changed from the original plan of back to back drills. Don't forget James has said in the past regarding a sale "we will be the last to know" I'm confident that will come about due to the team being flexible and adapting to circumstances and results in the next couple of months...
Mike, with all due respect, is it really necessary to question James about the operational strategy. Cant we just leave the team to get on with things, all will become clear in good time. In these situations things change on an almost daily basis, so to ask him for clarification regarding the way things are going to progress is to my mind a bit unfair on him. There are clearly things going on in the background that we cannot be privy too and to a certain extent James has to keep his cards close to his chest especially when there are potential buyers out there. We have to be patient and let things unfold and not get to caught up in the what, why, when….
Jacklevi, I’ve been on this board for 10 yrs and I don’t think I’ve come across anyone as confrontational and self righteous as him. I’ve filtered many on here over the years but for some reason Shaun has evaded the filter button. My cursor is hovering over that button as we speak......

John argent said at the deep dive. "Te 10 well is quite a robust 3 way dip closure with a lower risk structural trap that sits within the overall Stratigraphic trap. If you drill the well its got a chance to prove that lower risk structural closure. If we see gas down to the broader Stratigraphic trap, that has a higher risk element, its increasing our chance of success of finding something more"....
