Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Pne79 I spoke to John Argent at the Durham event. He said he asked JP for some allocation of funds to carry out some work on Sidi during the summer, which he agreed too. He said he was sad that Sidi had become the forgotten asset and that he was excited by the work he had done on the reprocessing of seismic recently......
Hi albus, if you watch the deep dive there is a section devoted to what went wrong at TE8............
You are right we just have to be patient now. Knowing the way things go with Sou I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s no RNS tomorrow. Think we have learned to expect the unexpected. Fingers crossed we get the outcome we are looking for soon though.........
Dingdangdo. I think I recall BM was also excited about the Paleo layer in Anoul because it was much shallower there.....
This would perhaps imply that the hight that the Tagi and paleo sit within the TE9 structure today still has some relevance to the p&p
Forgive me if this is a naive question. Some on here have implied recently that the layers of rock including the Tagi and Paleo appear to be higher up than anticipated by the seismic. If correct, would this mean these two reservoirs have not been buried as deeply in the past and therefore likely to have better permeability and perosity because they have not been compressed or heated as much?
Bmcleod, just seen your comments this morning. I’m always prepared to admit i’m Wrong about something. I’ve just watched the video from Norwich and you are correct he did say it’s hard to see how it would fail. I hope he is right, if TE9 is a success then it will be a game changer for us and if the Paleo in particular comes in then the sky’s the limit.
Shaungreen. I doubt any data they are gaining from TE9 just now would affect the location of TE10. We were told many times that these 3 locations were chosen because they are very different play types, to mitigate risk. It does seem a bit mysterious but you would think they would complete the works so’s not to arouse any suspicion if a buyout were on the cards.... could be a double bluff! lol......
If you look closely at the start of the video it is obviously intended to be a satellite coming around the earth. You can tell this by the background stars etc and the relative speed and sweep of the camera compared to the earth. This in turn would give the illusion that the earth was spinning in the opposite direction. Also satellites travel from west to east in the northern hemisphere, therefore it could be argued that the video is technically and visually correct.......
Just my opinion,I must confess although £3 would make me a million and I would be very grateful for that. It would still leave a nasty taste in the mouth if we sold out after TE9. Imagine how it would feel if the company that bought us drilled TE10 & 11 and found large reserves of gas and then continued to do so into the future. I have been investing in Sound since 2011 on the premise that Sound are an exploration company and therefore risk comes with the territory. A few months ago I was worried we would sell on seismic only, now I'm concerned we will sell on TE9 success and leave the next 2 wells on the table. I don't know about you lot but the thought of Shell investors cashing in big time when we we're the one's who have taken all the risk doesn't fill me full of joy. Anyway, we are getting ahead of ourselves here lets hope TE9 comes good and then we can ruminate about what comes next....
