I can sort of understand why the results from today’s Bushranger assay update haven’t moved the dial, apart from Xtract crew (and AA) who really understands the impact of todays results on JORC?
Yes they’re fantastic and better than AAs drills, but good grades were expected and how much additional copper does this actually add to JORC? Need a couple more high assay results across the crown to support some real JORC growth.
Next weeks updated model (and one or two results) should help.
I’m thinking (please chip in) that mainly holes 13 onwards into new areas / waste areas that make this move.
Great update and interview. Potential for 2m in the sunshine! Fantastic.
Ella’s even got a potential for a stand along gold system.
Looking forward to next three assay results around the crown.
Steve - glad you got your top up
News - welcome back
Good luck orange, first assay results are due to land any time and they’re right in the heart of the (current) beast, hunting for Ella’s gold.
Take your chance or pay the money, don’t think we’ll be seeing sub 4p again any time soon (or hopefully ever again!!), so probably won’t get the bargain your hoping for.
Had my final, final, final, final, no really this has got to be the last top up, on Friday.
Nice article, on copper pricing, I’m all about the COP26 pledges that will start feeding through over the next few weeks for a peak during the event.
Analysts have already worked out there’s not enough copper to deliver current pledges, just imagine what will happen as pledges are increased and pulled forward to earlier dates.
That will set the scene and buy in, then 2022/23 should start to see the real impact as stocks depleted and semi conductor issues are resolved.
Having said that, not sure we’ll be needing $5lb level for Bushranger project with all the new sections / infills / waste sections turning out to hold copper.
What a time to reveal some (looking more likely that is more than one!) huge copper finds and have mines coming on line and starting to deliver revenue.
I await the next two/three months…… eagerly!
Ok, points taken and phase 3 hasn’t been mentioned.
I look forward to the next stage of phase 2 after the 8k meters (ish) has finished - phase 2.5?
Was sort of hoping Footrot would be drilled shortly, but if phase 2 covers the full 20k meters, might have to wait a little longer.
As with most things to do with Xtract, I guess it’s open to interpretation. I had phase 2 down as the 8k meters (give or take) and phase 3 around 12k meters. Giving the total 20k drill length ie most recent raise.
If we’re needing further drilling after that, then raise could be needed - all depends on the length of time for next phase / income stream / number of drills / targets and ultimately how quick CB wants to prove and move.
There’s still plenty to go at across EL5574 and don’t forget the top left of EL8585 that featured as a potential area of exploration by another company as well.
Xtract as it stands at the moment is an absolute no brainer, but it looks like market isn’t moving until some cold hard numbers come in.
As we approach the end of phase 2, been thinking what the end of the phase would look like and how it would transition onto phase 3.
No need to raise for phase 3 and that’s been reflected in the tone coming from CB and the team.
From all the info available, phase 2 was all about making sure we’ve got a viable mine. Phase 3 will be all about expanding into new territory.
We’ve probably only got another couple of weeks of drilling and there’s plenty on analysis to do on hole BRDD-21-014 and awaiting assay results. These will be needed to plan out phase 3 before the drills start spinning into new sections.
Wouldn’t want the team standing around whilst we wait, so could we be seeing the final one / two holes of phase 2 going into the far south east on Racecourse and/or into Footrot?
Also, the Footrot RNS from July did say Footrot was in phase 2 and there’s not many holes left to go!
1 share theories mess with your mind. Question is, if there is a RNS this morning - was it chance…?
This will help explain a little:

I’ve seen plenty of 1 share trades without anything happening, so I’m going for chance.

Shanghai copper stocks fell 10.7% from the previous week, the bourse said on Friday, sinking to their lowest level in almost 10 years as tight supplies push metal prices higher.
Deliverable copper stocks in warehouses monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange now stand at 61,838 tonnes, the lowest since December 2011, Refinitiv Eikon data show.
This still comes after China released more stock just a couple of weeks before

Copper isn’t a tap that can just be turned on and since supply can’t be increased, only other tool is going to be price.
And all this is happening before GOP26 kicks in, when hopefully some big pledges get cemented in that need further piles of copper:

Going to be an interesting run into the end of the year with all this macro playing out as Bushranger will move past phase 2 and into 3 + revenue starts coming in from other projects (maybe).
Shorn, nice details. We’re clearly not getting a full drill plan for whatever reason (insert ideas here), so we’re left to unpick best we can and that’s a cracking stab you’ve had at it.
I’m guessing (hoping) that we get an updated model at the end of phase 2 and outlook for phase 3 (12km drill plan to explore SE extension and Footrot). Not so sure this will happen as phase 1 wasn’t factored into model (maybe too deep, so didn’t want to confuse??)
Wouldn’t expect to see a full JORC update until end of phase 3 at the earliest and that’ll be way into 2022 - unless we exceed 2mt on phase 2, but pretty doubtful on that.
Anyway, sitting back and relaxing for the time being, no need for any raises and plenty of news to come.
Lots of variables in that question Screen, if only there was a proper sequenced drill plan…..
Could be looking at another 1-1.5km of additional length based on July presentation and previous interviews.
If that’s correct, it wouldn’t take much depth or width to take above the 2mt, assuming grades are around 0.3.
Based on last drill hole speeds, we should be 300-400m into SE extension test drill hole.
I’m taking it as a very good sign that CB is chipping in more with this timing, as 300-400 is around about the expectation of when mineralisation would be hit for open pit mining.
One to watch next week, could be a great time for Zambian mining:
