Info on press release indicates it moves from being a company on which they have influence to an asset to be valued at FV so initially they should not give it up. However there must be rules in the shareholder agreement regarding sale of interest. With Bp seeking to offload at the first opportunity there is still the risk of a distress sale?

Like so many of you, I have been deeply shocked and saddened by the situation unfolding in Ukraine. We are witnessing an act of aggression which is having tragic consequences for the region. This has led the bp Board to fundamentally rethink our position with Rosneft in Russia.
