What i wanted to get across was my opinion that the strike price should have been slightly higher towards 20p and the BODs need to buy some stock. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The end game for the paper gold market is getting nearer and nearer. The price for physical gold on the Shanghai exchange is at a $100/oz premium. The premium is the highest ever and the trade will be buy on the COMEX stand for delivery and sell the physical on the SGE. This will empty the COMEX of physical at a rapid rate. The price suppression has been a self harm action and will soon cease. The rerate will be something to see. ATB Speedy

Hi MH01. Dont be too harsh on the dreamer. $5billion for our 5% is possible but we would need to see a POG above $6000/oz and an MRE of 20million ozs. That should do it. ATB Speedy

Hi All. I did say, several weeks ago, that the ASX cross listing should be delayed until after the release of the MRE. Any other outcome would have been a bad business decision. Not sure we need the Wyloo funding but the upfront costs of the loan gives Wyloo some funds back into their coffers, not sure their coffers need extra funding though.

Deferring the cross listing until after the MRE, DTM, reaching the ore body and a higher SP will ensure a favourable response from the Aussie funds. ATB Speedy

In short, Russia is offering a $40/oz premium against the LBMA fix for the oil/commodity gold trade. Stockpiling gold in preparation for a gold backed commodity exchange mechanism. With a potential 80% of oil producers joining the BRICS trading block. This is very serious for the western $ based countries whose currencies will not be accepted in the trade. This is a massive inflation trigger. It will take time to develop but it is coming. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Not long to wait now until official news via RNS gives us a better idea of the future for GGP. The speculation gets us nowhere and is only good for entertainment.

I have been involved in many "around the table" meetings with different Cos and various board members and it is astonishing how many stupid mistakes are made at a high level. Sometimes it is not stupidity but corruption pretending to be stupid. When big banks are involved all morals are off the table and only profit at all costs is the main criteria. Share holders get shafted all over the globe by, above the law, banks. If it is in the banks interest for the Newcrest/Newmont deal to go through it will, under their terms.

The big banks need to be broken up and the sooner the better. ATB Speedy

Hi Mysticmagpie. You say"gold is and will continue to be manipulated" I say the manipulation by the paper market is starting to fail. Too many traders are now standing for physical delivery in what is designed to be a non deliverable market and contracts settled in $s. The COMEX will one day fail and holders of physical gold and the producers will see massive increases in profits as the POG rerates. ATB Speedy

Hi All. 46 tons of gold were removed from global ETFs in August alone. Investors are waking up to the fact that paper gold has had its day and physical ownership is the only safe play. That large removal would normally see a huge pull back in the POG but it made hardly a blip in the present historic bull run. ATB Speedy
