Low stock of any commodities is only realised when demand for buying increases.... Frasers have spent over a years trickle buying here.... Wait until we finally see the header in the trading update that tells us the we are back to growth.... The the frasers position will pay off for us all then.

The thing that amazes me is how much weight people attribute to say a 7 percent short position yet when the retail king of the uk buys 25 percent its "nothing to see here boys"

The far more interesting subject currently is Boohoo brands.... You would have to think debenhams is flying hence replicating the set up with boohoo brands for the younger demographic....

It just feels like boohoo are making some decisions that are going to be really big going forward.... The cumulative effect will really come into play from here....

So far debenhams have 3500 brands listed and rising, boohoo has over 200 signed up.... These market places are going to be huge..... They did say at the agm there's a lot going on....

Boohoo has launched an online marketplace with 200 fashion, lifestyle and beauty brands including L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Ray-Ban and Michael Kors.

The Boohoo marketplace, which will be live next Wednesday (31 July), features accessories from Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Gucci and Valentino, clothing from Off White and Urban Bliss, footwear from Hunter, Puma and Crocs, as well as beauty from L’Oréal Paris and Garnier.

The site launched with around 200 labels and is onboarding more weekly​, the etailer said, as it aims to become "a one-stop destination for all fashion, beauty, and lifestyle needs".

Boohoo's marketplace, called "Boohoo brands", utilised ecommerce software Mirakl, the same technology partner that helped launch the Debenhams marketplace, which was acquired by Boohoo Group in 2021.

James Blacklock, chief product officer at Boohoo.com, said: "We are incredibly excited to introduce Boohoo brands, our new marketplace offering that brings together a great selection of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products.

"This initiative reflects our commitment to providing our customers with diverse and high-quality options, all in one convenient place. By partnering with some of the most complimentary brands, we’re enhancing the shopping experience and ensuring that boohoo.com remains a leading destination for UK consumers."

Quaker - Boohoo don't seem to be struggling to get brands listed on the boohoo brands platform, judging by the already listed brands in the post lower down the thread it seems some good brands are coming on board....

Despite the press bashing, boohoo is a massive customer draw.

I think it's a great move for the future.

You could argue they have done this as a result of the positive uptake debenhams has seen.... They were certainly singing about debenhams at the agm and even the staff outside of the agm were talking about debenhams.

Sounds to me like they're hitting all age groups by utilising 2 market places....

Boohoo Brands will be filled with brands focused at the younger audience while debenhams lists everything up to and including furniture....

Debenhams is the general market place while boohoo brands is fashion focused.

Surely if you thought it was great deal at 200p then it's a crazy bargain at 60 odd pence.

For anyone that bought and sold the right time there was an opportunity of 18x their money.

Neil Catto drive boohoo from 100 million revenue business to a 1.5 billion revenue business.... That didn't happen in a single year.... Give the man a chance.... Its already gone from losing over 30 million to making a 11 million profit.

I still laugh to myself when i think about the terrible trio applauding a user called moneysponge... They were bigging up his chart reading on RR when he went short at 100p looking for a 90p gap..... Instead he found the 480p and 400 percent loss gap....
