Yes coiled tubing drilling is most commonly used for drilling thru tubing ( not the case with Warwick )
Why would coil tubing be mobilised to the rig.
It can sit at the dock on stand by if needed sail it to the rig ? Lerwick Aberdeen who knows.

The way I see it in layman’s terms is
1.“Oil all over the shakers” it’s very very prolific=great and we’re suspending this well for future tie back!
2.“It’s a ‘discovery’ ie we found oil and we know where the rest is =but this well is going to be P&A’d!
3.“We tried really hard” = hmmmm and we’ve P&A’d this well

Plus (as an aside), none of the wells are really what could be called 'deep' ! 10,000 ft mdab (measured depth along borehole) sounds a long way down to the layman. With reason. But even in N.Sea terms, it isn't. 'Deep' hasn't got a precise definition, and it's evolved with the years. Nowadays it's thought of as anything over 17,000 ft. —______________ ADUK...Don’t get carried away it’s shallow in today’s terms.

My understanding is that WD's horizontal is about 1/3rd of the way down the anticipated oil column, whereas other horizontals (such as those producin on Lancaster) are only 1/4 way down, or less.
