We don't need a drill crew on the Scott platform for Parkmeads needs.
All I'm saying is drilling contractors are picking up work now that the price of oil has increased.
I'm sure Cross has his and the shareholders best interest in mind.
What he has is 35+ years in the oil and gas industry I'm happy to stick by him and his decisions. Scott or FPSO

High of £3+ prior to 2015 oil slump then Covid struck and collapsed price even further.

Cross stated after the oil slump that his assets were worth more than the current share price.It just goes to show how markets change with the wind.
The price of oil is bouncing around $76 a barrel with analysts saying it will be $100 next year.
Face masks off, driving cars and flying aeroplanes will surge the demand for oil.

Good times bad times have all construed to how Parkmead
have rode the last 11 years of economic crisis. I've also been in since 2010 and currently breaking even after buying on dips, I have never given up hope as Tom stated at the AGM 2019 he has invested all his Dana money in Parkmead. Which was a good enough sales pitch for me.
GLA looks like the rise will continue !

Block 205/12 (Parkmead 100% and operator) is situated in the Faroe-Shetland Basin immediately to the west of the Parkmead operated block 205/13, which contains the Sanda prospect. One large prospect, Davaar, has been identified in Block 205/12 and is a combination structural and stratigraphic trap in the Vaila Formation. The Palaeocene Vaila Formation is the primary play fairway on this acreage and forms the reservoir in the adjacent Foinaven, Schiehallion and Loyal oil fields and the Laggan and Tormore gas fields. Parkmead will undertake to reprocess the existing legacy seismic with a new 3D seismic shoot, contingent on the results, and a drill or drop well. Davaar has the potential to contain 204 million barrels of recoverable oil on a P50 basis.

 

Chief executive Jonathan Roger said: “West of Shetland is being transformed into an energy hub with huge potential for both oil and gas and renewable developments, which are equally important to the energy transition over the next two decades, ensuring secure homegrown supply for homes and businesses and reducing the requirement for costly imports from less regulated parts of the world.”

The current price of oil will give impetus to move GPA forward......No need for pity on Parkmeads oil assets even Siccor point (Cambo 9 wells ) West of Shetland has been moved back to the middle of next year for development which I'm sure has been diagnosed as a heavy oil extraction.
All will come good !

Cross has stated that they are not looking for partners for Platypus.......Is it because they already are in bed with a third party or are going it alone with Cal Energy. We will know soon enough .
