SHARES in Hurricane Energy leapt by more than four per cent after it highlighted progress in bringing its Lancaster field west of Shetland into production.
The company said well re-entry and completion operations for the Lancaster early production system (EPS) have started, under well operator Petrofac. Chief executive Robert Thrice said: “It’s pleasing to see further progress being made on another element of the Lancaster EPS. We look forward to continuing to build on our strong relationship with Petrofac and Transocean.” Shares closed up 1.94p at 47.1p.
