GDR have NDA's in place with Beckman/Cytiva/Danaher and all supply will be heading to the USA to fulfill demand at the 10 labs Beckman are aiming to have up and running using their fully automated I series systems before year end.......

science today cannot move fast enough to prevent pandemics! Sars Cov 2 is a big wake up call for the world that we need to be way more prepared in all aspects be it dignostics and testing, critical care, logistics and manufacturing, PPE, Vaccine development etc .
Imagine a virus with a 5-10% mortality rate instead of the <2% of Covid!

there were 1.5bn people in the world then, with limited international travel. We are on the way to 8bn people today with cheap flight crossing the globe 24hrs a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year!

in the numbers being talked about is a complete waste of time! By the middle of next year the first run of vaccinations will be ineffective at preventing re-infection and the vast majority of the population will still not have been vaccinated before the first run need to be re-vaccinated. Globally over 5.6bn people need to be vaccinated for the virus to recede and hopefully disappear, that will take years to do! To effectively eradicate this over 20bn doses of vaccine will be required (populations will need to be vaccinated multiple times) and administered......20bn syringes.......20bn needles......storage.....packaging......logistics......it's an impossible task (I truly hope they manage it!!!)

In the mean time testing and diagnostic facilities will need to be expanded beyond anything currently planned! To deal with Covid, its potential mutations and any future Pandemics I.E Bird flu, swine flu and as yet unknown pathogens!

Yep I wont be taking it or any other Vaccine rushed through regulators skipping a decade of development and research! 98% of people survive Covid and the Vast majority have very little in the way of symptoms so i'll take my chance! Odds are stacked in my favour without being a guniea pig for big Pahrma!!
