Thanks for your replies lotto. Point well made but how would that make any sort of move by bhp go down with the government. Surely if they did not want them holding all tenements given there track record surely they don't want bhp getting hold of what could the countries flagship mine? I guess it is likely these conversations have been going on behind the scenes for the last year regarding the best suitor for the country.

Ship are you suggesting that bhp could be controlling the price as there is such small volume at the moment? It does seem to be held at this 36-37p range. It does make me feel we will hear something shortly around this price as some have mentioned a rasing or cheeky offer or holding notification. My feeling is a rasing won't be the way forward but more likely an offer soon or news of some financing agreement.

Why would you buy cascabel for circa 2b when for a little more you could be the number one player in Ecuador. I would be pretty peeved if I bought cascabel and another major took control of a bigger deposit making them the major player in ecuador/World. Ego may play a part

Yes cascabel is the jewel in the Crown but I wouldn't assume bhp don't want all the other tenements.
