Swade63, am in a big loss too but no point in selling now for a loss. I have been down since March but I have been posting positively only for me to not make any emotional decision and sell out. I sold 50% of my BT holdings in loss last year but they went back 50% up after I sold. It happened many times including Tesla. I sold at $700 after having bought at $1000 before split. Luckily I bought Tesla back again the amount that I sold.

So I believe CINE will go back up one day. I could have sold when it hit 84p as the loss was quite minimal at that time and may be that was stupid of me to not sell. But I have bloody spent lot of time on CINE last 6 months and am determined not to sell until I make some profit. Better to switch off for sometime and come back and see where we stand by Nov end and beginning of Dec.

We are holding well in 60s. It is good that we are moving with the sector although CINE often goes down a bit more than the sector due to the short attack. Trolls will come here to cast a doubt on your investment but am not selling for loss for sure. For 3 months, we were in 60s and some said, we will never see 80s and 90s but we hit 70s 3 times and 4th time, we went past 70p to alway to the 84p despite all the negatives that trolls were reminding us every day.

There are so many positives to look for CINE -

We are nearing the outcome of Court case although we don't know if it would come out this year at all! But when it comes out, am confident that it will be positive. I have mentioned numerous times now why I feel the outcome will be positive for CINE although it is my opinion but some of them who watched it live agreed too.To me it looks like, court case update will be this year as CINE has not put out the date for trading update, which means they might be planning for trading update along with court case outcome. I'm expecting Mooky to make another interview with the media once they submit their docs next week to the court.

We are on our way to recovery to the pre-covid levels. We all have seen the good BO numbers for October and they are much closer to 2019 levels already.
Studios are realising that good old cinemas are the best venues for getting money on their investment.
Even movie Directors are dismissing the Wall Street analysts view about streaming.
You have seen Warner Bro's media manager comment on how excited they are with the response on Dune including the director.
We have fantastic movies lined up next 2months to see similar BO like in October.
CINE major market is in US and there is no sign of any restrictions in place for cinemas.
Just yesterday saw a picture of OPERA theater in NewYork where it had packed audience sitting next to each other and wearing masks. People are now used to wear masks so no threat for cinemas at all.

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton asked Boris to make masks mandatory in UK and she said that would avoid any lockdowns. She said US will not have any need for lockdowns and that is good for CINE as 85% CINE business is in US. We now have Pfizer vaccine available for 5-11year olds as well! UK govt modelling says that cases will come down in winter and probably is the reason why no mask restrictions suggested by Boris.

Shares don't go down in a straightline. Of course, you all should assess your own situation. I have given you examples of some of the shares that I sold only to see them go back up and higher than the price I sold. We were closed for 6 months and now we are fully open and making money with tills ringing loud. You have seen the experience of many who visited the cinemas. Concession items make up 28% of CINE revenue and with increased prices, CINE will be making more money. Proof is that Bond movie in UK has broken previous records!

CINE did not go bust when all cinemas were closed. Now we have BO revenue at 70% of 2019 levels so why would it go bust? You are simply scaremongering the gullibles.

It is clear that you don't have a clue about CINE business. If the debt is what worries you then read recent post from Wellington on debt. Our debt increased by a billion but it means that lenders were happy to lend money to CINE despite all the closures last year. Why? They know CINE is a cash machine and it survived the worst pandemic and it will sustain and grow in the next coming decades.

Of course you will ignore all the above and will come back next week singing the same tune again and again and so is Plebw.

I'm confident that we will see a significant rise from the case outcome. Next March, we will be much above the current levels. I'm in big red but am holding. IMO accumulate now to reap the rewards from next year.

I would say inflation is priced in to the share price. We went down from 80s to 60s because of the news. Market is always forward looking. Once inflation news is out on Nov 4th, all markets will rise IMO.

The most important bit to look for is US travel opening up. With Pfizer booster dose giving 95% protection and 12-15yr olds getting vaccinated too, I do not see how the reopening will be delayed in this last few weeks.

We have half term holidays starting next week. The bookings for it look good as per media articles.

Travels rules have been generally accepted across the regions by many countries including Australia opening up.

Get a test done before travel and you are good to fly. Wear a mask during the travel. By now, most public have now got used to this. Even the costs for tests have been brought down. Fewer countries in red list now.

USA doing very well with the vaccines and their cases as well are not too bad. They have seen how tests can help people travel instead of completely abandoning the travel. May be wishful thinking but countries just cannot abandon travel. Biden himself travelled and seen his personal experience so don't see him putting back restrictions with the travel.

Nov 8th is the date for transatlantic reopening. Our cases will come under control by then. With half term holidays, cases will come down and even my office has now said to work from home and sure many others do.

To control the cases, just make masks mandatory and people still travelled in summer with masks and masks are compulsory in other countries anyways. Why stupid Boris is bloody waiting to make masks mandatory? Just to do it this weekend and all shall be good.

Bonkers, agree that it is the judge who decides the final outcome but am very confident that it should be in our favour. The reason I say if we lose it then the damage should be minimal because CP could not put a convincing argument on the amount of damages they claimed. They really fumbled and in the end withdrew themselves talking more about it. Their arguments were based on hypotheses but court need facts and KPMG Senior Vice President clearly laid out all the facts and proved how they were wrong in claiming those damages and how they breached the debt limits. Even the most cynical and skeptical FI posted saying CP's claim was ridiculous after seeing KPMG expert testimony.

Even am very confident that court case will be in our favour. After the evidence from the KPMG, many of us who watched it live for 2 weeks, have concurred that CP clearly breached the conditions. You don't need to be a lawyer to understand it.

Even I agree that the result will be not paying a single penny or just few pennies resulting in a significant upside to the share price.

Only thing we don't know is when the judgement comes. I hope it comes by end of November.

US travel opening up in just 3 weeks from now and can't see that being delaying at last minute. Ppl must have already booked holidays and US is not stupid to do a start/stop in a matter of days. They are definitely wiser than our foolish govt/Grant Chapps. Vaccinated travellers can travel as long as a test is done to show negative result.

RR has turned profit despite US travel closed and now they we are opening, market cannot ignore that. May be Chairman was inferring the same by buying huge amount of shares instilling confidence on RR business.

I think Delta margins news priced into IAG price. Their results were released last week and IAG hit 182p on Friday. BA will comfortably pass on the cost of high fuel prices to travellers.

Actually I liked the way she talked about digital transformation. I work in digital transformation and am impressed with her usage of the jargons like Artificial Intelligence & Analytics and how ITV is using them to transform the business. She mentioned about "metaverse" and just today in BBC there is an article on Facebook who are investing in "metaverse". I don't know much about "metaverse" but she is definitely striking all right chords!

Also venturing into streaming in the form of Britbox is a very good move. But let's be honest, even Disney and Netflix are struggling to increase the number of subscribers despite investing massively in producing the content. Today Barclays downgraded Disney because of the expected lower number of subscribers.

So expecting ITV to become like Netflix, Tesla and Amazon is not right. We have a slice of pie in every sector -

1) Advertising
2) Studios
3) Streaming
4) TV that hosts popular events, popular sports etc

All ITV needs to do is just tick up the numbers in the above sectors.

Like I said Dame is striking all rights chords. I wouldn't blame her for the downfall of SP rather it is being manipulated. If she can sound upbeat in the upcoming TU then hopefully that sends jitters to those sellers.

CINE free float is just 590M shares out of 1.3bn shares so only shares from free float can be loaned by brokers to shorts. Now the recent short interest was up by 0.49%, which equates to 6.5M shares approx. On average, our daily volumes are between 3M-6M so short interest of 6.5M is nothing. It is absorbed and that is why there is no big change in price i.e. we are still in upper end of 60s although 65p just today.

As long as we don't give up our shares, brokers will run out of loaning shares to shorts. Remember 700mn shares are still in tight hands and are held close to heart.

When CINE SP was £2+, short percentage was 13%! There is no need to sweat for increase in shorts IMO. All that we need is continuous good BO figures and trading conditions to reach as much close as possible to pre-covid levels.
