Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Old grumpy men discussing fashion! I have bought twice from Debenhams and once from Warehouse during the last 4 weeks. Kept items worth £378. And this is just the start....my fashion budget is about £5000 a year.
But most importantly...someone buying now and holding will either gain 100%, or the bosses will NOT receive the bonus! Wink, wink ;-)
"Kamani and Kane are both due to receive £50m, a third each of the total bonus, if Boohoo’s market valuation – at £4bn currently – reaches just over £7.5bn by June 2023"
Nonsense, man. Boohoo sells clothing, not some ever evolving tech. The natural fibres used are the same as during the pharaoh times. They are not even “green”, they take away a lot of water, agricultural land, produce CO2 and methane and are perishable. Besides, they could only dress about 10% of the population. Artificial fibres are here to stay. The future, which has already begun by the way, is to recycle them. There are factories converting plastic, polyester, etc back into oil and then back into plastic. You can’t do the same with natural fibres.
We are not going to walk around naked in 10 years....any of the 7 billion of us. Boohoo clothes are not made differently from Ted Baker or Reiss clothes, for example. They are just sold cheaper, so the target population can afford them. This is the only reason why it is singled out. Sells affordable clothing to students, apprentices and teenagers. According to Boohoo, they sell about 10 pieces a year to a young person, for about £120. However, Boohoo has now more than 10 brands which make relatively expensive clothes for the vast majority of the ever growing and ageing population, which can afford to pay more. I already spent £120 on Debenhams website in one go, and would probably end up spending £3000 a year.
Have you guys looked what's on offer on Debenhams site? You sound like you are talking about some indie selling vintage, second hand rags! Seriously....?!
Well, I've not only looked, but ordered twice already! And I'm still looking! The new items coming are simply fabulous! Move on Ted Baker, Reiss and Next...here's Karen Millen, Warehouse and Debenhams brand (not the old fishy names, lol) coming to take your place!
No, it's not a gamble for the majority of us, who are invested in Boohoo for years, not minutes. It is for day traders...they were responsible for both the pre-results hikes and post-results drops. Trying hard to steal each other's pennies during those artificially created spikes. Luckily for now, they seemed to have taken their gambling elsewhere.
Ladies and gentlemen! My first ever buy from the Debenhams website, worth £267.99! I’m excited!
This happened after a strange, premonition-like event this morning, when the delivery guy brought me a parcel, and I’ve clearly read Debenhams all over it! “It’s not mine”I said. “Aren’t you...?!” he asked. A second look at the parcel, but now it read “Brandalley”. It was mine, indeed and I must have hallucinated earlier. And now I know what it meant: Goodbye Brandalley, hello Debenhams!!!!!
