Wow, busy board this morning. lol.
I know the SP has gone down, BUT you cannot sell a share unless someone buys it. So the shares that those are selling now are going to other long term holders probably at a new price.
I just want to make the point to anyone visiting this board for information about Open Orphan, if you hold at end of play today, you will be eligible to get shares (when they are issued) in a new dividend species. The RNS will come through tomorrow. You will not be able to trade these new shares until 9 months time. But they will be yours.
YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO HOLD YOUR OPEN ORPHAN SHARES FOR 9 MONTHS THOUGH.
You can continue to trade these.
There has been misunderstanding on this point in the past, so does not hurt to reiterate.
(Holders, please correct, confirm or add more detail to anything I have said)

Poolbeg still has some unknowns related to it. As well as the immune modulator it has been said there may be some other minor assets in there. But to my knowledge nothing specific has been said about them. And by that we can probably read that the additional items are of much lesser consequence than the immune modulator itself.
Poolbeg is the first of 4 key dividend species. The fifth dividend is a potential cash dividend before the end of the year. But Cathal Friel said they did not envisage having trouble raising extra cash for Poolbeg. I tend to trust by simply spinning this off, it implies it has a good chance, otherwise what is the point? As they say, you have to be in it to win it. GLA DYOR
Just to reply on that article Foxhat, with some text from the artice below. I think it is a significant step what they have announced. Apple watch will not have the sophistication that it may have in years to come. But in order to get to the place where companies like Orph Data can provide the data, the journey needs to start. I remember having read an article about how it is now possible to use these devicies to monitor blood Oxygen levels, and other variables I did not think they could do yet. Personally, I think this is the start of a health revolution with wearables that will develop more and more as all the big tech hopefully get FOMO for what the others big techs are doing.
"Apple Health Lets You Share Info With the Doc or Family Members
Coming this fall with the iOS 15 and watchOS 8 updates, the Apple Health update adds new health-tracking features and lets you share data with family and doctors. We already mentioned some of the health and mindfulness stuff with Apple Watch, but that’s not where the health improvements end.
A new Sharing tab lets you privately share your health data with friends, family, caretakers, or doctors. Someone recovering from a leg injury, for example, could share that data with a physical therapist.
There’s even a new “Trends” area in iOS 15 and the Health app. This gives users a glance at their cardio, sleep, and other stats. These trends are included in Health Sharing and can even alert you (or your doctor) to long-term health changes, helping you control your health and reach new goals."
Hey. Just took a small holding in TGR yesterday. So, nice to see a spike today. Looks like lots of people are buying in today. Look forward to learning more about TGR.
Just to be clear, by uncertainty I mean some seem to be getting all uncertain about spin offs and dates etc. Which I don't feel. Time will take care of all this. There is lots of exciting news not far away. Personally I was surprised to see the SP come down so far. But in hindsight, resistance becoming support makes sense enough.
I think those who really know the company know the RNSs that could drop and therefore know the price surge that is possible within Open Orphan. GLA DYOR
Here’s some positive technical analysis of the ORPH graph. In from about 13 mins. I agree with the sentiment that now is still a buying opportunity. He’s the second TA person to feel we should be challenging the ATH in the not too distant future.

We’ve had a double bottom and seem to have found strong support.
I really think the recent mood is just some uncertainty. With every CF talk it seems to bring back excitement. And when it hits the 40s again some will be kicking themselves for not getting in now.
Lauders, I remember one of my later buys in Feb, buying near the top of a peak at 31.9p, and then watching as it merrily went down into the late 20s. I was kicking myself, but is a distant memory now. As they say, it is very hard to pick the top and bottom of a market. Good luck to you and all.
As I accumulated through Jan to April I spent periods with my total shares in Orph under water. Now, as we have hopefully found support at 34.5p my total holding in Orph is in good profit. And then as we gradually work our way back to the 40s, and divi species happens and the financial news comes out for 2020 and forward projections for 2021 more stability will come to the core value of Orph as there will be some new core fundamentals to base them on, taking into account all the new contracts, facilities etc.
I know you could say is off topic, but, just for info:

They start talking about OO from just before 27 mins. He still mentions Invesco as 7% holder though. Which, to those unfamiliar, is not correct.

"Wish I hadn't bothered listening to that..." hilarious :)
Someone in my family just asked me for some info on Open Orphan. So I quickly put together some of the latest articles and videos for them from April. This is by no means extensive, and just meant as a signpost for those new to ORPH. (Please feel free to add any other links that could help people).

And for those new to the board, part of Imutex is also "FLU-v, a phase III ready universal influenza vaccine candidate". Imutex is one of the potential spin offs from OO that many are excited about. As there is a Flu and an early stage malaria component.
Open Orphan owns 49% of Imutex. So it is Seek (51%) that is controlling when this could potentially be spun off.
Here's a link to the Imutex page on Orph's website:
https://www.openorphan.com/our-businesses/imutex
This talks about "AGS-v, a phase I vaccine candidate for all mosquito saliva borne disease"
Thanks earache for the info!
Just got my voting message on HL after I posted. So I sent it in. Good to know that those that don’t vote won’t significantly affect the outcome in any sort of a negative way.
Just to clarify, for the vote / motion that is imminent, if a registered share holder does not vote, CF then gets to vote on their behalf?
Earache did post something to this effect a few days ago but I want to be sure... thanks GLA
A bit of fun. Anyone care to hazard a guess when we will get an RNS about Invesco crossing the 3% threshold? At which point they will go dark…
They crossed 4% on 26th Feb (RNS). The previous RNS for 5% was on 9th Feb. That is 17 days prior. So they sold their last 1% in 17 days. But from 6% to 5% it took 35 days (6th Jan until 9th Feb).
It is now 17 days since 26th Feb. During the last 1% reduction we had strong buying and selling due to the “Ethics Approval” RNS. So, it is fair to expect it will take a little longer.
I am going to stick my neck out and say we have a good chance for next week? Any thoughts?
My impression on the last 2 DNSs, neither received as spectacular, is they are both non COVID. I believe most on this board know OO is not a COVID play, but having one DNS as tropical and another as cancer, for me, tips a nod to say, we are much more than Covid, to those that might ask.
They didn’t boost the share price, but as part of a bigger picture, they allay any fears some might have that as Covid becomes less of a thing there are many irons in the fire.
BTW I like the the theory that Invesco will hold after 2.99%. Have know idea if it is true.
