Papers have been served and awaiting response. It’s a long process.
Am I missing something Smithy?
Me too Tav. Stob board it is. Still can’t believe I’ve lost £25,000. My pension pot because I believed in and still believe in the Flybe model. It’s not business, it’s white collar criminality. What goes around comes around and I wouldn’t want to be in the BOD’s position. Looking over your shoulder for the rest of your insignificant lives.

Full scale evacuation - Emb195. Many injured caused by evacuation slides. No evidence of smoke. Over reaction by the crew. Probably brought on by stress caused by uncertainty with the company. Where I’d Laffin now? Hiding in a dark room. Evil likes the dark.
Lundy, it’s easy! Turboprops are cheap as chips to operate. Get rid of the jets and cut out the ridiculous high salaries of the BOD. I guarantee Flybe would be turning a profit within 6 months. Just look at Eastern Airways, Loganair, any prop operators! With the infrastructure of Flybe it is only mismanagement that has caused its downfall.
Flybe’s trial service from Heathrow will receive a £800.000 subsidy whilst Aurginy’s Gatwick service is not subsidised.
Clearly lots and lots of money is being pumped into Flybe’s Guernsey service in order to make it profitable, but for how long!
Who is the BOD representing? Their priority is the shareholders! Not anybody else! The BOD have to answer some very difficult questions.
I smell a rat here. Something is happening behind the scenes. I think we will see lots of movement concerning Flybe / bmi Regional this week.
If I do not vote, what will happen? Sorry if it’s a stupid question.
Value walk I agree completely. The assets (and debt) remain within the PLC.

Lots of big buys. Anybody know why?
I am just a private investor and lost a big chunk of my life’s savings. I always thought that Flybe was a great company and a good investment. I am left with an unbelievable hole in my finances and still cannot believe what these people can do. Supposedly all in the name of business. I have lost all faith in the stock market and will never invest again. It is corrupt to the core. How can anyone invest in anything when this selling of assets is legal? I will brush myself down and start again, after all it’s just money.
I had £25,000 invested in Flybe. Purchased at an average of 75 pence. Somebody please tell me what is the point of selling my shares for 1 pence? It would return me £200!! There is absolutely no incentive.
To quote you last week: Leisurelad - "The Q400 i believe breaks even at low loads so even a half full Q400 can pay for itself often than not"
That simply isn't true, if it were then the business would be successful. Full Q400 often (daily) run at a loss, with plenty of the niche routes always running at a loss irrelevant of the loads. A full flight does not always mean a profitably one. Flybye generally has reasonable load factors, well it did - yet they can't make a penny of profit! (Loads have not been one of their big issues, although it probably has become one now)
Demonstrates your ignorance of the aviation market! You speak tosh!! Turboprops are cheap as chips. The Flybe pricing structure ensures a break even point at 16 pax. Period. I suggest some homework is in order.
Ironic-Flybe can be turned around. WITH EASE! The board has creamed off the profits with clever accounting. The companies business plan is sound. Look at their fares for tomorrow - all operated by an aircraft that costs practically nothing to operate. Their break even point on Dash 8 is just 16 seats with a 78 capacity. If only I had the funds I would be straight in here - it’s a no brainier!
Out of Birmingham to Aberdeen out tomorrow morning back Wednesday evening was £505 return but while checking this it now sold out inbound, DUS completely full all three flights tomorrow, EDI out tomorrow morning and back Wednesday night £259 or £383. Stuttgart £327, Berlin TXL £446 (Out Tuesday back Thursday) - Amsterdam despite 11 flights by KLM and BE out tomorrow back Wednesday night £205 BE with KLM same times £626 return. Cheap compared to SAS CPH at £895 return on the cheap ticket.
According to the BOD Flybe do not have the funds to continue trading. If an injunction is sought there now is a fall back option from Tinkler. The company will be able to trade with Tinklers’ cash injection while Kohn exposes the wrong doings of Laffin and Co. I still can’t get over the contempt that the BOD have for their shareholders. Does Laffin even know where his priorities lie?
