Not a good second half to the day. I must admit to being very nervous about the results tomorrow. The trading update in October was very informative but that now sets an agenda for market expectation. These figures won’t be as good as Jet2 but let’s hope they at least send the share price up if only by a few pence.
While there was a difference in IAG and EZJ share price performance today, if you look back over the last year the share price of both companies move in a remarkably similar fashion. Both companies are reporting strong demand for the remainder of this year and into next so I expect the share price of both companies to continue their upward progress in the short term. HSBC today raised its target price of the company to 165 pence from 130 pence, every little helps !!
For what it’s worth here is the latest update from one of those silly forecasting websites.
EZJ closed up 0.05 percent on Monday, November 21, 2022, on 83 percent of normal volume. The price action carved out a bullish hammer (or hammer-like) candlestick pattern. That may indicate an upside reversal. Look for price to trade above the high of the hammer for confirmation.
Thank you Scotty. I didn’t realise that you could learn so much from reading gas meters, so my thanks for your valued insight and reasoning. I’m sure the American will also have an opinion on this ! You know who you are !
So the innocent fare paying customers of EasyJet suffer yet another hike in mortgage and rent payments. Not only that, the cost to service the significant debt pile of the company has further increased yet the share price of the company has risen by over twenty per cent since the 11th October. I’m completely baffled ! Shorts closing their positions maybe ?
AC777 disappeared from the IAG board in exactly the same way at around the same time. One and the same maybe ? Or sitting next to each other in an office somewhere with explicit instructions to talk the share price down.
