It quite clearly says in the article that the King is getting a pay cut from 25% to just 12% of estate profits.

The Royal Family bring in more money to the UK (£2b) than they get paid out (£0.1b).

We need to be very careful not to pander to the politics of envy.

Get your point, mate. And don't disagree. Public pensions are a disgrace. Vast overpayment in the trillions.

But we've entered a new pseudo-Marxist era in the UK. Our culture has changed. The people and the banks now work to serve the state. What's yours is theirs. And it is too late. The gravy train is unstoppable. Someone with a 30% pension of free cash is never ever going to give it up! If you can't beat them, you may have to join them.

Know someone who "works" for the NHS and their pension contribution with free cash from the UK taxpayer is nudging 30% of salary. Says it feels like a free lotto win every month.

You may have to change your mindset, and go work for the UK state. That's where the big bucks and easy money are now found. Once you're in the door, you're pretty much unsackable, and it's a job for life. With a 30% pension.

Last night was a good result for the Tories. They were expected to win 0% of by-election seats. In the end, they won 33%. Sunak performed much better than expected.

It shows the Tories are on the ropes, but it is not a knockout. A few headline tax cuts, some freebie handouts, bit more free cash for the world-leading NHS, inflation back to normal, mortgage rates falling, a GDP upswing next year, and the Tories are back in the game for the 2024 national election. It ain't over yet.

Great result on UK retail sales today. Almost every day now, we're seeing positive news come out of the UK. Making the UK's biggest ever free-trade agreement, the biggest car factory this century, wages soaring like an eagle at their fastest rate this century, inflation plunging, economy outgrowing the Eurozone. And that's just from the past few weeks! Add in the world's no.1 Covid vaccine, no.2 in Ukraine to uphold freedom, EU exports at a record high, the world's fastest-growing G7 GDP for 2 years in a row, GBP is the world's strongest G7 currency this year... The trickle of good news is quietly becoming a flood. Brexit is on the up.

The Netflix results overnight were pretty bad, which is dragging down the US markets today, which in turn is dragging down UK markets and major stocks (such as Lloyds).

Not that old nugget again. How many more times. The UK is the only major country on planet Earth never to have defaulted on its state debt in all of the past 1000 years. The UK has the second lowest national debt-to-GDP ratio % in the entire G7 worldwide. The UK external debt payment ratio is running around 4% and remains among the lowest on the whole globe. Stop the hysteria and self-inflicted panic. There is no need for it.
