Up +10% now. 100% buys so far today. Above-average trading volumes. As expected, the market has taken a few days to digest the halfyear financial results and is finally waking up.

Almost a whole day's average volume traded in ARC in the first hour today. Bigger volume + bigger shareprice = rerate underway. ARC makes software for financial firms.

Up +8% now. The ARC share price is starting to "bowl" up nicely after recent good halfyear financial results (profits are nearing for the first time in its history).

Up+5% now. A sea of blue. Trading volumes in the past month are near an all-time high for ARC shares. One single trade bought almost 1% of the entire company yesterday. Directors of ARC purchased 5% of the whole company recently in Q4 2013. Sitting on almost 1 million quid of spare cash (which for a £3m marcap company is rare). ARC shares have tripled in a year. Great upward momentum. Interest is rising and a great story is building here at ARC.

Off-topic briefly, AFPO is worth a look. Developing a potash (fertilizer) mine in west Africa. Plenty of newsflow coming in the next month. Dyor etc.

RNS from yesterday indicates EMT just bought £1.5m of revenues for £30k and a bunch of shares. It is EMT's first major investment. More to come here.

Rob229 -- Good to see a US PI active in the London market. Always good to hear new voices from different angles. I know MONI is very popular with US IIs and PIs, as their mobile payments stuff is well regarded. I had a quick look at TIDE. With just £1 - 2m annual revenues, and a £7m marcap currently, I will hold off on that one for now. I'll have a deeper look on the weekend, though, in case I overlooked anything. Meanwhile, I'll continue to sit patiently for ARC to deliver its next upward spike. With profits nearing, cash rising, directors buying, new contracts rumoured, and share-trading volumes near record highs, the next uplift in the ARC SP can't be far off.

Someone bought today almost 1% of the entire ARC company in a single trade. Are one, or some, of the ARC directors buying yet more ARC stock? Will there be an RNS to follow in the next few days? Total trading volumes today for ARC are again 2 times above the current daily average. And 4 to 6 times higher than they were at the start of 2014. There is sustained growth in interest for ARC over several weeks in these shares now.

Rob229 -- BES feels like a steady upward mover, like ARC, as you say, rather than a "spikey" share for daytrading fun. I will run the rule over it this week and make a call. Thanks for the heads-up. Regarding EMT -- their management has a mixed reputation, so it will be important to keep a close eye on what they're doing.

A 200% spread is less relevant when the share price can move 400% in a few days (like it did recently). Spreads are always relative ;-) There are plenty of shares on AIM with dodgy directors, but their share prices still move around enough to make money from them...

Rob229 -- Yup, I had a brief trade in BES around the 1p level a few months back, just before their expected Christmas spike, but have not looked at it since then. Will take a relook. EMT is also worth a punt. Tiny number of shares in issue. An investment shell that just bought into £1.5m of revenue for the first time. Dyor etc.

Surprised this is not on more investors' radar-screens. Perhaps it will take a few days to digest news. Just *7m shares in issue*, which is microscopic. So, when it moves, it will double or triple the SP in a day (as it did a few weeks ago) and make the spread irrelevant. EMT are clearly now in the early deal-making stage where they are starting to flesh out their company for the future.

Spread is not ideal, but it will narrow on volume. EMT is starting now, at this early stage, to make its investment moves.

RNS indicates EMT just bought £1.5m of revenues.

And only about 7m shares in issue.
