Purchased these at £1.26 around 2008 ,had to sell these at a slight lose to pay for an extension. What a mistake that was !!! Shares can destroy you emotionally, lol
Give up with Shares ,they have caused me nothing but sadness and worry . I’ve now invested in Vanguard, spread across many companies,I’ve invested in medium risk ,Bonds and shares and its already given me a 10% return . My older brother researched Vanguard, he has invested in a higher risk spread across shares and his return is 22%. I’ve had Lloyds shares since 2008 . People say invest long term ,which I have ,what a joke that statement is
Stopped topping this share up ,as It keeps dropping . It seems very popular shares can lose you to much money . I’m not selling as would be sitting on a heavy loss. Just keeping away from shares as they make you worry to much ,and play on your mind sitting on a massive paper loss.
What is everyone else doing with this share ? Would like your opinions please !.
I sold out at £1.50 after a heavy loss ,these shares made me anxious and suffered slight depression from them . I sold out and put the remaining off my mortgage and have now put my money into Vanguard investments,my brother encouraged me after seeing good reports from Which online . I’ve invested in 60% stocks and 40% bonds ,medium risk and Vanguard charges are the lowest . This suits me as all the work is done for you, early days But the small amount off money i have invested is already showing a small profit, even in this unstable climate . I will never get into shares again ,chasing dividends and then losing 1000’s of my hard earned money ,it all feels corrupt and made up to me . One minute £5 a share and then down to around £1 . Not just BT ,but loads of other shares ,it’s all to risky for a complete amateur like me!!!
Wish I had the spare money to buy these when they went down to £35 ,gutted
Biggest mistake buying these at £3 ,sold at a big lose at £1.54. Long term share ,but was affecting my mind seeing these drop every day . Wish I’d waited as look so cheap now . Crazy and unfair how shares can change in such a short time
Hi All
I have most of my money invested in Lloyd’s ,average of 55p, just not sure when I should top up ,how low can these go to . Massive part of wishes I just stuck my hard earned cash into a low saving account (we are all saying that now ,after one thing after another ) as Lloyd’s has been very dire .
