So you are expecting Alrt to go it alone with just the band of brothers and sisters here? Show me one UK tech company that's got anywhere without funding from the US... it's a system already stacked against the UK. Companies that have been successful in the US at selling into defense have all done it from outside investment and from people with experience within tech and not the incumbent defense industry. This has been true of almost every disruption within the tech within the last twenty years. If you want to do it from scratch all within the UK, that puts Alrt to such a disadvantage.

Of course it's important, it's a prerequisite. My point is, the value you attribute to it.... Sovereign cloud has been built by the hyperscalers so they can sell into gov and defence around the world and move out onprem workloads. That's a business where they'll look to grow quickly with partners, I don't think there's a huge amount of runway here.

Yes, I work in the sector. Sovereign cloud built on GDC or similar can become a commodity quickly the runway here will be short. Plus the fact they delivered it so quickly should demonstrate it's not as hard as investors here would like. I think the partnerships with Oracle, Google are completely over-egged, it's an example of the type of RNS I don't like. I'd suggest looking beyond the RNS

Not at all, I don't think that's anything to write home about.

It's good to agree with someone that the amount of RNS sent over the last six months to appease a speculative retail base. There's some interesting stuff to unpack here of late. My personal opinion is that it's now largely a bet on who the new CEO is, they'll be managing a pre-revenue, floated business worth $60m. My hope for this share would be that they recruit someone that has scaled a tech business like this before with the right connections into recognised US venture funds. This will give credibility as we don't actually know what they have.

The recent RNS and POC is interesting, but if I'm continuing my scepticism, most of what they're saying they can do is out the box AI capability with OpenAI, Claude or Gemini which probably leads in this multi-modal space. I'm seeing a lot of high growth AI companies that under the hood don't really have a moat they're just an interface calling the relevant LLM for that use case. The right team can reverse engineer this quite easily.

Is this better than where we were a month ago....? Yes. Is it worth $60m? No. Are we safe to compare this to Palantir yet? Don't get me started.

The fast money is bailing out of this, hopefully pragmatism will now start to prevail. This should be seen as a lesson to the BOD to over deliver against expectations and not over hype which led to this being overbought. That's hard not to do with a penny stock but people can lose faith quickly, the vast majority of investors are now in the red. This early in the journey it really is impossible to see where this is heading, does this team have the credentials, are they behaving like they could have? At the moment my judgement is no, but offer us something material, I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Exactly, it's not. How much does a SAS company need in revenue to achieve this market cap... I think this could quite easily fall to 25% of its current value without news of a material contact... They've given a window of December for this which I feel is setting them up to fail

110% this is simply a vehicle to raise fast money out of retail for as long as they can in the hope they can deliver something material before they do it again. Ask yourself, have any of the people you're investing in have any experience in a public company at this level.

Has it nothing to do with the absolutely awful companies that list here..... It's one of the best indexes to lose money, most recently the AI, crypto boom bust which lasted about three months... Let's be frank why an earth would an AI business with any pedigree decide to list on AIM or participate in the rebrands we've seen with the likes of CAPai and Alert... it's just a way of taking cash from retail investors. I've seen it so many times, I feel so sorry for the people that get dragged in.

Dual listings with the US and UK are almost always end badly, you sometimes get a pump in the UK beforehand because investors think that this is the promised land but there are far more examples of this being the beginning of the end rather than the start of something great. All the hype around this share.... their initial investment is in a company with a paywall and almost no moat when compared to the traditional LLMs who will surpass it in no time. Feels like it's over before it ever began, you have to question why they were even raising cash here in the first place.

TWK, that is quite funny but you've completely avoided the point I was making, which only emphasizes the problem here. Speculative pumping of an RNS is always a reason to sell, clearly some people agree which is why the SP is going down.

Other than to reply to a post with someone again mentioning it. I was invested here and broke even but saw all paper profits wiped out. When a company puts out RNS after RNS which are pretty much meaningless you know they're struggling for news flow to keep the fast money interested. That's what's happened here, maybe there's merit in MMs etc but I just think this was a case of way too much hype way too soon. People live in an echo chamber on this notice board, it's not a debate you're just shot down if you say anything negative. CTAI, CAPai and this are all the same...

I hate being the only naysayer here but this really shouldn't be compared to Palantir, it will only set up to disappoint. That company is over 20 years old and burned cash for almost all of that time.

Because people need to escape the echo chamber that is this bulletin board. Alrt is a story stock, which pumps out RNS's with marginal basis, partnered with a small web development company that is yet to achieve anything of note..... Yet people are told the current market cap is a bargain which is farcical - this is how you lose money.

I think this has become the popular view from outside the industry. OpenAI has taken two years what Facebook did in ten, there's not been another company like it and it's closely followed by Anthropic. You've then got Meta and Google who literally have money printing machines. People comparing this to 99... I think it's just so wide of the mark, if OpenAI were to fail that market cap would move to one of the others. Alrt and similar companies are where money will be lost

I think there’s truth in this. Expectations need to be managed here, it’s not difficult to become a customer of either sovereign clouds with oracle or Google. Certainly not to the point where you can attribute market value to it. Market cap here is already extremely high, people should be impressed with the value it is at 2p let alone 4!!!

Thank you for replying mattrs27, I agree with your sentiment. I've been invested here but sold out completely when they did the RNS on the Maven Industry day. I don't like it when a company does unnecessary RNS's it looks desperate and I remain very much on the fence from what I've seen over the past two months here, there's a walled garden to all the good AI companies with venture capital. Why they find themselves listed here is a point of contention, the valuation doesn't have a foundation whereby the pedigree of the people involved have achieved anything at this level before. That said I think there might be opportunities further down the track once we see if they actually have something or not, until that point I'm going to remain out. Getting a transaction this year I think is really unrealistic but if they have something in the next 12 months then there could be something here..... Does it warrant capital when there are so many shorter term less risky opportunities, I don't think so

People need to manage expectations..... This is not Palantir, not remotely close yet it's always viewed here as a comparable. For reference Palantir was twenty years in the making before it's IPO and was probably one of if not the most eagerly awaited IPOs of 2020. Research the fund raises, look at the board.... This is a shell company of a dev shop with 45 employees and is valued currently at £45m... with no revenue, products or a track record to warrant this valuation. £45m??? why is it worth that, why should it be £90m... why not £4.5m. People investing here thinking they've got a UK Palantir I suggest should do a lot more research.

When they're producing an RNS to say they're speaking at an event.... You know they've run out of news. This never made sense, pre revenue, speculative at best and everyone is betting will have a product out by Christmas.... Yet it hit a £60m marketcap and it's still massively overvalued. Interest has waned, people want their money back. Seen it on here so many times before.
