RE: More than sealion …26 Dec 2024 12:00
Ralphybabes, hope you're enjoying a good holiday break and I genuinely wish you all the best for 2025.
You and I haven't always agreed and that's possibly because we've been looking at the same things in different ways with different objectives.
Whatever, you've often been right and I've been over optimistic at times, but I'm absolutely dead certain SL is now going to take off.
The Islanders may not want to exploit all the FI's reserves, effectively turning their beautiful homeland into a potential Dubai-on-Steroids (apart from the climate, of course), but if one becomes THAT wealthy, you can probably enjoy the South Atlantic in absolute comfort and not care.
Also, World demand for oil and gas may well diminish, or even collapse, but I still believe that, for the time being, the actuaries have got their sums wrong and renewables are not going to displace fossil fuels as quickly as many would like.
Also, I'm starting to think that the EV revolution isn't the right/best solution, as we are starting to see and understand the very many problems EVs are creating, which fossil don't, except from the considerable pollution issues. But even EVs aren't pollution-free, as some would like us to believe.
However, regarding the 40p/share matter, that was suggested by some as a generous takeover valuation for RKH, not the sp you would be prepared to sell your shares at.
If you're happy with 40p, don't let me spoil your party, but as a takeover valuation for RKH, that's a COMPLETELY different story and I would see that already as being multiples of 40p, once OM €65M is confirmed and Navitas has announced FID (perhaps including sanction at the same time).
Anyway, hoping all goes well for you in 2025, and your postings are a good balance to my optimism.
